Weddings bring that shit out big time - for some reason, I’ve seen so many friendships end over a wedding. Including my own - it sucks when people you thought had your back were actually shooting you down behind your back because of jealousy. My best friend of 25 years basically told me I was a piece of shit and dropped out as my best man because my wife didn’t put his wife in our wedding party…didn’t even come and talk to me about it - just came at me out of nowhere and blasted the shit out of me like a total prick.

Haven’t spoken to him in 8 years - and you know what? We wouldn’t have stayed friends either way, because buying a house, getting my degrees - he would have had a problem with EVERYTHING.

It sucks.

I just thread the ‘‘Mrs’’ the thread, she said i spend enough time lookin in the mirror now ( i don’t) i just flex to check progress and see where i need to improve, she just happens to catch me doing it! She said if i ever ended up looking like a pro, she’d become redundant because i’d just look at myself all the time.

Not that I need one, fuck I go shirtless and shoeless literally anytime I can, backyard, park, beach, friends house, golf course (still wear the golf spikes there). I have never had anyone say, anything about my physique. But for you guys that do, you should get little wallet size pictures of any of the “haters gonna hate” memes and print a bunch of them to keep on your person. Then if someone happens to make a comment, just whip out the wallet, and hand them a copy of the picture. Smile broadly and walk away. Or punch them in the fucking face, whichever is more appropriate.

My beach experiences have been the opposite. The big, fat, cellulite ridden woman and moob-ed up men wear the least amount of clothing possible. Those of us who give a shit about ourselves worry more about taking off the shirt. This seems backwards. However, from what the guys are saying, our society is so ass backwards that fit, attractive people (not TV or models) feel ashamed to show off their hard work and the fat fucks are letting it all hang out.

Let’s face it, the unfit people tease the guys because they feel like losers when someone like Four60 takes off his shirt (hey hot stuff!). I am seriously obsessed with my body right now. Every inch. I’ve made drastic changes but I have plenty of work left to do. Am I vain? Fuck the person who says I am.

You should be vain…this thread is so stupid. If youre vain, that means you give a shit about yourself. If youre vain about your intelligence, that means you’ve put the time into studying etc that makes you a smart person. Ask her if powerlifting, or football, or soccer are vain. Explain that these are sports of function. Than ask her if figure skating is vain. Explain that this is a sport of form. Than connect the dots from figure skating to bodybuilding.

If you go to funerals with a speedo because of the pride you have in your body than you might have a vanity problem. When you check your reflection in every store window when you walk down the street that might be some vanity creeping in from the edges. A few photos, and a bit of mirror time here and there just falls under practice, progress tracking, and appropriate grooming.
