Bodybuilding Competition HELP!!!

Long story short, there’s a bodybuilding show on september 24th (a NATURAL show). I’m at 180lbs at about 14% bodyfat. I need to know what type of training to adhere to and what supps I should be taking. ANY advice is welcome, especially those with tips on getting my glutes, hams and thighs shredded. Is it too late for me to reach <4% bodyfat? A lot of natural bodybuilder’s say that getting the glutes, hams and thighs shredded are hard.

ANYONE with helpful suggestions for training and supp info in general PLEASE contribute.

180 14% what bw class. Your wanting 4% so thats a 18lb fat loss not to mention the musle the will be lost getting to 4% sop were talking lower than 160 right??? Just making sure. 7-8 weeks yhea its doable prob would have been best to start earlier and be well below 10% now but hell go for it. I say why not try JB latest article seems to fit the bill great.

other than that keep that w/o intensity up the loads that is. try and save as much LBM as you can 160 aint a big fella unless your damn short.

lket us know how it goes wish didnt reallt tell you much but poitn you at an article. But just seems to fit the drastic situation very well

I find it funny as hell that a guy about to do a bodybuilding competition write this just a couple of months ago:
I own a clothing company here on the islands and one of the shirts I screen reads like this on the back:

B.F.N. (Big fo Nuthin)
You can’t bench press in a fight.

I screened this shirt because every time I was in the gym, some bodybuilder or powerlifter would walk around like he was the shit (mind you they were weak as hell for their weight) and sometimes bully other gymgoers. So I got fed up with their cocky attitudes and decided to screen a shirt to throw in their face. Needless to say I get alot of stink looks when I wear it to the gym.

But I define functional strength as strength you use when you have to throw down. Besides, all the squatting, bench pressing and curling in the world won’t help you against someone who’s been training MMA for 8+ years…and is good at it. But that’s just my 2 cents. And if you want to buy the shirt to wear to the gym lemme know. ALOHA!
HAHA!!! Good one. That’s the same shit I thought too when I decided to do this. I’m actually in between competitions right now and one of my co-workers who just got done doing a show said that I had perfect symmetry and that if I got down to the lower end single digit bodyfat that I would do alright in the amateur natural competition held in september. So yeah, I’m pretty surprised that I’m doing this as well. But hey, thanks for remembering me:)

I maybe full of snark on this, but shouldn’t a body building question be put in another forum than strength sports?

That’s why I posted his quote. He is about to compete but does not consider himself a bodybuilder and talks down to other bodybuilders. He goes as far as to make shirts about how weak they are. This is of course WHILE he is putting on his posing trunks.

i understand you’re trying to be a bodybuilder, but what I can’t understand is why you would want to be big fo nuthin. Are there gonna be fights at the show or something?

Firstly. Congratulations. It takes courage and discipline.

Well… When I competed I took 16 weeks to prepare. I reckon I came in spot on. Although the judges gave me 2nd

You have given yourself 10 weeks from the date you posted this. It could be a tough ask.

There is a lot to do in this time. Your routine and learning how to pose is something you can’t take for granted either. Don’t just watch an IFBB video and steal their ideas. Most of the routines and poses the pros use look shit when naturals try it on. Mandatory poses aside, obviously.

The routine and etc is where many a bodybuilder fuck up. It pays to actually see a person who specialises in competition posing and routines. Contact your bodybuilding association if you don’t know anybody. They will generally give you some numbers to use.

How tall are you? And a picture would be helpful too. Don’t be shy and worry about what will be said on a Forum. Worry about what will be said backstage or even on stage.

A thermogenic worked very well for me for my morning and evening cardio. Although you could be up all night for the first few nights you take them. Caffeine is ridiculous.

Post your current program, please.

Not sure on that one. It might be a battle but, no harm in trying. A big concern when dieting is making sure you aren’t losing your hard earned muscle.

PS: Don’t take any notice of my profile, I lied about my weight!

What?? Weren’t you bashing bodybuilders in the other threads?
You hypocritical jackass!

Bodybuilding is so gay, I just lift weights. And shave my body, but I mean who wants hair there anyway? Oh yeah and I have a seasonal pass at the local tanning salon. But I am NOT a bodybuilder, hell no.

I’m basically a powerlifter who uses slightly higher rep ranges. And poses between sets.
