Bodybuilders w/ Upcoming Contests?

Anijar- I think your legs will strongly determine how you look in the mid 190’s.

Brendan- Very cool, have you done previous shows, or are these your first outings?

Yeah I know my legs will be the most important aspect for the show. At 6’2 getting that leg thickness is only going to come with time. Right now I am measuring my quads at 27 inches for my right and 26.75 for my left. I think by competition time with the right dieting they should show pretty well. I just want to get this first show out the way.

Good luck with the contest. Get your elbows up higher on your front and rear double biceps poses. Spread those lats out wider!

Thad
Good luck. Looking good if that is you in your avatar.

I competed at the 2007 Orange County Classic.

Good luck to those competing this year.

Heya Thad, it’s all an illusion bro. I went through an issue of Natural Bodybuilding and highlighted the guys’ heights and weights and they’re amazingly low, but they look damn huge. I know I always reference Jim Cordova, but seeing as he’s my height, it’s relevent. At 5’9, he usually competed around 165, and at his heaviest (when he won the Universe) was a whopping 172! So that should tell you something about the level of conditioning these guys achieve.

Condition is usually number 1 in natural shows, so I’m not concerned to much with my weight BUT the bodybuilder in me always wants to be bigger.

I was 165 when I won my pro card in April and I will probably be 160 for my show in September. I need those glutes and hams tighter.

BTW it is me in my avatar but I’m really not happy about the pic, I messed up my final couple of days and spilled over. Hopefully this won’t happen again I’m using Layne Norton for my final contest prep.
