Actually, I’m back in Tejas man. Living in Lubbock. Couldn’t handle the gloomy Portland weather, haha. Been busy, but part of the reason I haven’t been posting is the forums have gotten ridiculous. Everything devolves into personal attacks and unnecessary shit talking, and I just got tired of it. Maybe it’s always been like that, but it made posting unfun. I’ll be around though bro. Have some new dunks, but haven’t got 'em on vid. I’ll get 'em up soon though. Hope all is well brother.

So fun to watch your video Gregron! That’s awesome! You are making me want to learn hang cleans when I get back on my game. I don’t know why I pictured just cleaning the bar and then pressing it into an OH press, not a squat. Maybe I’m thinking of a clean press. I still get befuddled by the terminology sometimes.

As for weight fluctuations, Chinese food (salt carbs) can make my weight go up about 4 pounds sometimes.

Ink- Thats the sort of experience that Im counting on. I dont like strip clubs and wont be doing the stipper thing but if there are random girls who want to flash our boat??? Who am I to stop them :slight_smile:

WF- Back in Texas huh? Yeah the gloomy weather in the pacific north west kinda sucks. I can see how SAD is a real thing when living in that all the time. Yeah I know what you mean about the boards. I try to just stay away from all that cause it just bums me out. There is no reason for people to just rip on eachother all the time. Too much negativity (mostly from immaturity I think) and I dont like it. I dont hang out with negative people in real life and dont want to be around that on the net either… i feel ya. I look forward to seeing some dunk vids for sure. I played some hoops for a while last week and it was a lot of fun.

Puff- Glad you liked the video. I hadnt recorded anything in a while and was just on a roll. I did feel like a tool though taking a vid of curls lololol but whatevs. Cleans are fun. Honestly thats why I like them… I hope they will help increase my vertical jump/quickness but in all reality I think they are a really fun lift to do and I enjoy doing it. You definitely should try them out when you’re back to feeling good. I’ve had weight fluctuations before but I didnt expect it to be 5lbs heavier in the morning than in the afternoon. that was the weird part.

Yeah man, SAD is a legitimate thing. Apparently the stretch from Portlandia to Seattle is the suicide capital of the world, and it’s no secret why. Glad to hear you’ve been hoopin’, guess that means all the kinks are getting worked out. Been playing a ton myself, and actually have had a few local high school and juco kids ask if I can help 'em with their games, specifically skill development stuff and getting stronger for ball. Thinking about starting up a local “skills development program” so I can make a little dough, but not sure how/where to start. Posting from my phone so not sure how to post vids, but I’ll figure it out. Be good man.

I hear ya DJ, it just gets old when almost every discussion in the GAL forum turns into e-Dick waving contests. The sad part is that most of it comes from a select few posters who are all over 30.

I know, but I have one of those jobs with a lot of down time. So GAL lets me pass the time, I also can say I have meet some really good people on here (Greg being one of them) and so I just interact with them. All the other posturing and shit I just ignore, I have that power. Just my .02 your a good guy, I just think you also like to argue (which is not a bad thing) the older you get the less and less you argue with ignorance.

Nope you should be a lawyer, you see something you dont agree with you want to discuss it. Some people just cannot discuss things they get personal no matter how much they say other wise (those I will not mention cause honestly not everything is black and white). It took me a long time to get here, I used to be like you take my word for it.

Got into the gym today for some shoulders and was draaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagging. Ughh

I was/am feel pretty sore in my back and slightly in my shoulders already (probably from chest day) and didnt have a lot of energy. Got in and out real quick. short and sweet

jog to the gym
prehab: YTWLs/Floor slides/shoulder dislocates
20 Goblet Squat/20KB to overhead Swing w/ 45lb KB for 3 sets

Seated DB Press:
50 x 12, 65 x 10, 80 x 8 drop 40 x 18

DB Laterals:
30 x 10, 40x 10,10

Face Pulls: 3 second pause
70 x 12, 90 x 12,12

Reverse pec deck & some planks for abs… thats all she wrote. In and out in less than 45 minutes. gonna get some stuff done now and eat some food. I’m starving!

Hit the gym for squats. Was feeling good until the actual squats started.

Front Squats:
135 x 12

275 x 1 <-lol then 3, 3 (the 1 and the 3 were on video)
315 x 0 vid drop 225 x 7 vid drop 135 x 20 brutal… no vid :frowning:

I hit the rack on that 275 x 1 cause I had to squat in the shitty rack. The cage was being used up by two guys who were curling 75 effing pounds. Then when i was squatting this old guy was creepily checking me out. There are a lot of gay guys at my gym and I dont mind it but this old guy (late 50’s/early 60’s) was just STARRING. Not glances or whatever but just creepily staring and on the leg extension machine behind me. Honestly… it was fucking gross and very “pedophile” feeling… was definitely in my head and fucked up my workout.

my back was/is really sore from back day the other day and it messed up my form. I had A LOT of trouble keeping my back tight and you can see on the vid that I dip forward a few times cause I just couldnt maintain my tightness… sucked. very demoralizing leg day TBH

shitty leg day… on a good note: I got a little haircut today. got cleaned up because tomorrow my fiance and I are doing our engagement photos. Should be fun. FINALLY got my FBI background check back and got registered as an EMT in SD county. I’m not “officially” an emt… got a cool little badge and all lololol. Got some new workout shorts today. Sports Authority was having a sale and I got 3 new pairs which was awesome. Got some more protein powder today. havent had any in over a month and have been “supplement free” since I ran out. Had a shake today with creatine and lucine… so thats kinda cool I guess?

aaaaaanyway… a good day turned into an awful day cause of the gym experience I had. Real sucky… Gregron needs a beer…
