Oh Greg, of course I’ll be an extra in your training DVD…No problem!
I’ve watched this show ‘Extreme Couponers’ and I will say, it seems a bit silly to buy shit you don’t use immediately just because its “on sale.” That’s just consumerism at its worst, if you ask me. And then we say “aww, the planet is dying,” to which I respond, “well, thanks for ‘buying’ all those rolls of Brauny that you won’t use for another two years.”
But I have a solution - the “Extreme Couponers Barter Network!” where you can barter all the coupon-ed stuff that you’re not using for other people’s coupon-ed stuff that you really will use. Take that capitalism!
Those bananas look yummy!
Yeah, it was originally my boxing coaches but I took it over for a while.
It was actually on a beach which was great it’s a free venue and a nice place to be, it was pretty ideal with 3 stair sets of different hight and a really steep 120 meter hill leading on to it.
They’re great fun but people are stupid, be prepared to tolerate! My class certainly wasn’t easy and you could expect to do shuttle runs (suicides to some people) in soft sand at least once a week but I still had a client come every week without eating breakfast and have to sit out because she felt dizzy!
The couponing must be an American thing, I don’t have a clue what it is but anything that gets you cheap blueberries must be a good thing.

Looks like it’s primarily a US thing, but i’m sure you could find some tricks to saving some money over there
Them trapazoids xplode yet?
Ink- Yeah you can be one of the special guests. Damn! Your wife got a crazy deal! I should check out some of these couponer sites… I only just use the sales at the stores. I need to up my coupon game son.
Blaze- You gotta get on the coupon thing man. I’m all about saving money these days. Hopefully I’ll get my strength back up to where it was (on everything not just bench) I just cant wait till I can actually squat, clean and DL again.
Maschy- You’ll be the demo girl for stiff leg DL’s and for ATG squats in heels (<–lol) Show off those hammies and you’re spectacular booty meat. Yeah some of the extreme coupon people are crazy. It seriously is a mental issue I think, like hoarding. I know some of them buy all that stuff for like 3 dollars and then they donate it for HUGE tax write offs… thats not a bad idea. Buy a bunch of useless stuff that basically costs you nothing and then donate it to the military or a homeless shelter for tax purposes.
Steve- I hear ya on that… I would get tired of complainers. I’m going to go with a “NO B.S” policy for my bootcamp. I’ll be out there cracking the whip on any slackers. I dont want to hear any of that “I cant breathe! I cant breathe!!!” bullshit (pet peeve of mine) my response “IF YOU COULDNT BREATHE YOU COULDNT BE TELLING ME RIGHT NOW HOW YOU CANT BREATHE!! GET BACK TO WORK!” hahahaha
maybe a little bit nicer than that but you get the idea.
Got my FBI background check started today, got my fingerprinting done and got my boo’s new car all detailed while she was at work. just dominated some canned albacore, brown rice and Franks redhot sauce. Gym time in a couple hours. Feeling ready to get some back n bi’s today.
EDIT: wanted to add this in here… I saw this thing in one of the conditioning threads about “The 275 Challenge” and wanted to give it a try some time. Basically you start on the bench with 275. Get as many reps of 275 as you can, then move straight to pull ups and add as much weight as it takes to get your total weight up to 275 (BW+additional weight) Then bang out as many pull ups as you can, immediately go to dips and do the same thing, after that go straight to DL’s and get as many reps as you can back to back.
Seems like it would be a pretty cool little challenge… I wonder how many total reps I would end up with? You would think that the DL’s would be super easy but I bet with the cumulative fatigue by that point, that it would be more difficult than anticipated. Gonna give this a shot some time. any other takers?
Pretty good Back N Bi’s session today
walked to gym
15 minutes incline walking to get warmed up
Pull Ups:
4 x 10 wide grip (the good pull up bar was being used so i couldnt get any weighted pull ups in… i was in the outdoor area)
BB Bent Over Row:
worked up to 275 x 8 (I could feel these in my hip/groin a little still sad face)
DB Row:
worked up to 120 x 10,10 (120’s are the heaviest DB’s sad face again)
Everything from here on out was done with jump ropes between sets. 100 jumps imediatly after each set. I was sweatin balls at by the time I was done with my workout. Oh yeah and I wore a headband today (cut off shirt sleeve… I looked awesome)
V handle Cable Row:
last set was 220 x 8
EZ bar Curl:
worked up to
45 on each side by 8
50 on each side by 6 (PR I think?)
Alt DB Curl:
last set was 60’s x 6
KB Swings/Abs/stretching to finish off. Good workout today.
I have a HORRIBLE tank top tan from hitting the farmers market up in LA this weekend… it is seriously so dumb looking. I think I’m going to get my tan on tomorrow to hopefully even this thing out before the 4th. I’m not really trying to lay out by the beach/pool looking like a doofus

You been moonlighting on the crossfit forums or something??? jk
I saw the challenge on ‘train like a man’ I think, I would love to hit that up but unfortunately I can’t bench 275 which would put s dampener on things. Would be interested to hear your results though.
You’ll have to buy a reverse tank top to wear and counter the tan!

In fairness I taught a bootcamp for a while and i hate people! plus when you look like Greg people won’t argue I’m guessing?
I heard that If business explodes he’s going to donate some of the money to those whe follow his log…[/quote]
LOL!
Well then, Greg is more tolerant of people than the both of us. Biggest thing I learned is that most people want to take care of themselves, but there too lazy to put in the work. Or they think they already know everything and just want to ‘tone there arms.’ RAWR!

I wish you were joking, but I know you’re not
DoveofWar- hahahaha it was over in T-Nations conditioning section. I think it was a video buy the MMA Fighter Frankie Edgars trainer? He’s got quite a few and I did a BW one before that was pretty cool. No xfit forums for this guy!
Steve- I think there were challenges that are less weight (I think there was a 250 challenge as well?) I’m all about that sort of thing lol. Any sort of competition and I’m in. Reverse tank top huh? So basically just the sleeves and around the neck? I would look so cool.
MiM- I do like people in general… if they’re legitimately interested in bettering themselves then I’m all for helping them
I really dislike the “know it all” types who arent in fantastic shape. Obviously you dont know it all if you look like that lol… frustrating some times
Ink- Oh come on buddy… You know you’re just jelly that you didnt think of it first. Your gonna have a sleeve headband in your next vid. I know it
Time for a little Womens World Cup.

PICS!!!
I enjoy tennis too…
LOL! Squatting in heels…sounds like friday night at the disco!
Nice training Greg! Sorry about the lymph node still acting up. Should be going away soon though, i had a couple of swollen ones and they took about 2 - 3weeks. Don’t fret!
A) I love that you rocked a headband. Sigh. A man after my own heart.
And B) WTF are you doing watching the women’s world cup?! lol! So boring. Pass, pass, boot the ball. I can’t stomach it. I actually have a few friends who played this year - one for Israel and the other for Greece, neither of which made it through. lol! Notice how Argentina isn’t in it either. lame!
You know what I’m really going to be interested in - how your bootcamp fares with the ladies…They’ll cleary flock to your class (obvi!) but training chicks is different than training dudes. Positive reinforcement is key!
MiM- I didnt take any pics yesterday… Maybe the next time I wear one I’ll get some photos
Masch- hahaha I was watching the TV show “Ice Loves Coco” (its awesome BTW) and Coco was getting ready for a photo shoot and was doing the heel squats, thats what made me think of it lol. I usually wear a hat to the gym to catch sweat but went headband this time.
You’re a soccer player but you dont like womens world cup? whaaaat? “pass pass boot”?? What else is there in soccer?
hahah I’m also interested to see how this bootcamp thing goes. I’m still gathering some info and looking into getting some more training equipment (couple more jump ropes and kettlebells) on the cheap. I’m all about the “positive reinforcement.” It’ll be “atta-girls” and buttslaps all around! lol
EDIT: Where the heck are the hot soccer players?!? I’m watching Brazils team and you would think: athletic in shape women + being from Brazil = hotties? NOT the case
There is actually one girl on their team who I’m pretty sure is Ronaldinho dressed as a girl lol
Same thing for Australia… What the heck is going on???
HAHAHAH! “atta girls” and “butt slaps”!!
Umm…I think you’re confused between female soccer players and girls who dress up as soccer players and administer blow jays for free booze.

I am gonna assume you said sad face because your gym only has 120 DB’s and you can row more than that, such is the case with my gym and myself…Next back session you should try deadstop DB rows (unless you already do these…) a lot more difficult then normal rows.
^^hahahaha the term “blow jays” always makes me laugh. I think the second girl is hotter lol… but the girls in that first pic look great to me. The ones on the field (or pitch as they say) right now look haggard. They should just never zoom in for close ups.

Whats up man? Yeah the sad face was cause 120 is max and at my old gym I was using the 140’s. I was actually doing deadstop rows for the 120 sets (not the warm ups) I like kinda rotate my torso away from the weights before I pull off the ground so that I get a big stretch in my lats. Helps me feel it a lot more (if that even makes sense)

Ya I know whatcha mean, these things are killer, I started doing them about a month ago when traditional DB rows got to be too easy, they helped my rowing strength increase so much

Have you learned nothing from Dixie? The beanie brings the powers, not the shirt sleeve headband. Sheesh…some people’s kids…
Enjoy watching 2 girls 1 cup. Or, whatever you’re watching involving girls and cups.
