Yeah I did the pyramid for the first time on my first deployment (several years ago) but I never really kept it in as a constant thing. I think i’ve done it 3-4 times in the last 2 years?

I was.

That first picture was after my shoulder surgery. I couldnt lift of do anything for a couple months leading up to the surgery and then post surgery it was 4 months till I could start working out again? Something like that… it was a pretty slow recovery as far as strength and size go. Thats why my delts suck lol

Masch- Thanks… My front delts are pretty good but my lateral head is crap cause my OHP is lame… I’ve been trying to hit them hard lately cause I really like that big round shouldered look… We’ll see if it works out. I get down with some cheeto’s myself… but I am a flamin hot chile limone kinda guy myself. those things are out of control good

K-Man- You tried it? Doesnt it deliver the most savage upper body pump? Chest, shoulders, upper back and arms are all lookin prime afterwards… Makes you look like the guy from the “after” portion of the Shake Weight Commercial lulz. Did you time yourself?

Also, got some things going on right now. I’m working on getting into a couple more summer classes. I’m trying to get my Live Scan done so that I can start working as an EMT (uggh) in SD. Working/Starting to get the ball rolling with becoming a certified Personal Trainer… Aaaaaand I’m looking into starting a Saturday Morning “Bootcamp” style workout program in the park.

My fiance keeps trying to get me to start one up for her and couple of her girl friends. She thinks it would be a good idea to make some extra money and every time we see one of those weight loss shows on TV she says “You could totally do that! You should start one of those” lol… So I’m looking into that. Thinking of getting my CrossFit Level 1 cert (DUN DUN DUNNNNNN!!!) I’m not a big fan of crossfit but I definitely think it would help bring in customers so we’ll see what happens with that. Who knows?

Thats just a little bit of insight into what I’m working on these days, along with wedding plans.

Got in for a quick back n bi’s session with a little bit of legs mixed in…

WARM UP:
Jogged to the gym
5 min of speed rope work
wide grip pull ups: 3x10

HS High Lat Pull Down Machine:
1pps x 12
2pps x 12
2pps +25 x 10,10 (all of these were done with a pause/squeeze and big stretch at the top. Lats were pumped/burning like crazy after this first exercise… I’m really loving this holding the contraction on back exercises thing)

DB Row Superset with BB Rows:
100 x 10
120 x 10,10 (the 120’s are the heaviest DB’s at my new gym… sad but doing the hold squeeze made this hard)
the BB Rows were done with 185 x 10

Wanted to work on my hip flexibility/kinda get a little bit of work in without pushing my injury too much:

EZ Bar Curl w/ 20 Goblet Squats done between sets w/ 20KG kettle bell:
25’s on each side x 12
45’s on each side x 10, 8

Alt DB Curls w/ 10 Burpees done between set:
40’s x 10
50’s x 10, 9

donezo… Good workout, back and bi’s were very pumped and I got a little bit of leg work in that didnt really bother my hip too much which was a biiiiiiiiig plus.

Jealous that you have a HS high row. Looks like a solid back workout man!

Blaze- I like this machine. its at my new gym and has a different grip/handle than the one at Golds. I was using an underhand grip (more like a chin up) and it was destroying my lats. Greg90X huh? I’ll have to see…

The progress in your new avi pic is outstanding! And it made me think…I’m soo big and muscular now after my big year of bulking and just getting HUGE, then with my time off this summer shrinking…well, I’m going to have to take some pictures so I can document my gregron-style comeback. HaHaHaHaHA!

I like the way you think about your career plans. Keep getting back on the horse. And I have a feeling you’d be an outstanding personal trainer/ strength coach, even if it’s sort of a side business thing. Maybe you could do it with your fiance and you’d have some fun with it. DO IT! I may have to make a fieldtrip down SD way to check it out. :slight_smile:
