You fucker. You can besos mi juevos, pinche maricon puto.

I don’t know why I asked you about that stupid fucking pyramid. I tried it at work, with a pullup bar and some stacks of cable spools to do the dips (my forklift was in the other building at the time) and holy mother of god…I should have used a sundial for time. I went into it HOPING that I could make it through the 10’s in less time than it took you to finish it. And I did. 9:40 LOL! Finished in a WHOPPING 19:26. Haven’t done pullups in a looooong time, and my conditioning is, let’s just say “sub-par” haha.

Holy shit that was rough. BUT, I should be able to improve quickly, I hope!

Just to pour salt in the wound, what’s your slowest time completing this monster?

hahaha you liked it?

Did you have a serious arms, chest, shoulder, back pump? I always get crazy pumped when I do it.

I’m not sure what my slowest time TBH. I just try to complete it in under 10 minutes. It wreaks havoc on the conditioning doesnt it? I think its a good way to add a little more volume and its not really that taxing (recovery wise) because its all bodyweight stuff ya know?

I REALLY didnt want to do the pyramid again after my workout… but I had already told myself I was going to do it so I forced my way through it lol

You definitely should be able to improve your time quickly. The pull up bar at my new gym is AMAZING and it alone has helped my pull ups. Its a regular straight across bar with this insanely grippy thick tape on it. LOVE IT

I just finished it 10 minutes ago, so once I stop having chest pains I think I’ll have liked it. My tri’s feel like they’ve exploded twice, and my chest/shoulder/back is BEAT! Definitely something to keep in mind and do again, maybe!

Can’t believe you did it both times in a total of only 2 minutes longer than it took me to do it once. I hate you.

<3

U can haz bench strengthzzz if I can haz vertical leapz and hawt abzz…I drive a hard bargain

Dude, new avatar is fucking crazy! Serious gains man, no homo (ok, maybe a little)

Heavy- Deal! how do we do the swaps? lol

Ink- Thanks man. I just made that cause I was kinda bored. I think thats a little over a years difference? Year to year and a half I think? 212 on the left and 214 on the right lol… pretty good sized BF difference though.

Ok so I’m feeling very sore in my arms today. Not so much my chest and back (maybe tomorrow) but my bi’s and tri’s are feeling not very awesome.

went back to the gym last night when my fiance got home and trained her. I did 20 minutes on the stairmaster with her for some cardio. Not sure if I’m going to hit the gym today cause I’m feeling kinda run down. Gonna go out and get some cardio in and hit the weights tomorrow.

u so sexzy

Greg, what are your thoughs on cardio? I see that you do a lot of it…But for a new-ish trainee, what do you say? I’m smack in the middle of a mass gaining phase, and I’m eating a ton (high carb, high protein, mod fat). A LOT. Anyway, I do HIIT once a week, and I lift w/ a 5 day split. I want my gains to be lean, but am certainly not expecting to remain fat free…so what do you think?

Basically, right now, I walk a mile to the gym, lift, then walk or jog home. I may just start jogging home after every session (exept legs). Is this too much, not enough, just right (like my porridge)? Everybody has such different opinions.

BTW, sexi avatar.

Lastly, when you do PWO cardio, do you have some sort of meal or shake b/w lifting and cardio?

DF- Thanks big man… I was never meant to be hyoooooge like you so I live vicariously through your log

hlss- ohhhhh this is a good one… let me see…

I dont know if I would say that I do “a lot of cardio” but I most definitely DO a lot of conditioning type stuff. I think that goes back to my former military training. I got really into it (kinda had to be with the job and everything) and I always like to have a good amount of conditioning.

As for newbies? it all depends on their goals and their starting points. If the newb is pretty pudgy then I would recommend cardio but if they are already fairly lean then I would just have them focus on strength/size gaining.

I feel that if you’re in the gym 4-5 days a week, lifting hard and heavy with relatively short rest periods you can get by with less “cardio.” As you can see from my log I prefer my cardio/conditioning to come from things like my pyramid, weighted burpees, jumping rope ect… things that are hard but dont take very long.

As far as your walking too and from the gym goes its hard to say if its too much or not enough… that all depends on how your bodyweight/bodycomp is reacting along with how your recovery is. Do I personally think its too much? No but I cant say for sure ya know? I would jog to the gym to get all warmed up and then walk back home afterwards if you’re tired.

With all that being said, this obviously applies to someone who is trying to gain… if you’re trying to get all cut up then I would advocate some low impact SS cardio to boost fat loss.

but thats all just my opinion… did i sufficiently answer your questions?

Yeah thanks G-Ron. I’m going to run to the gym, maybe walk home. I think overtraining is a BS excuse to be lazy, just wanted to hear your take. Were you a semen? I mean seaman.

I feel like your avvie is trying to sell me something.

Like a hot date with one of the fine singles in my area.

Or some new strand of creatine.
Whichever.

What exactly is your PPD pyramid?

New avi is sick man!
I keep telling myself I want to try that pyramid (or something similiar, I hate dips and they hurt my shoulders) but forgetting about it. Some day I’ll try this conditioning stuff too.

What all is in the DTC again too? Was going to do it today but couldn’t remember all three exercises so I decided to hold off another week.

hlss- sweet man. Yeah I agree with the overtraining being BS for the most part. The human body is capable of a lot more than most people think. hahaha I was a seaman lol… once a seaman always a seaman huh? I talked about my old job on page 9 and posted some pics/vids (if you care lol)

Nikki- I am selling something… “Super Mega Ultra Pump Xtreme 9,000!” look for it coming to a store near you soon

BonerJams- awesome screen name. I love 40 Year Old Virgin. The PPD Pyramid is Pull Ups, Dips and Pushups. Go up by 2’s on pull ups/dips and up by 5 on the pushups. Break it down into as many many mini sets as you have to before moving on to the next exercise.

Blaze- Thanks man. YOu should try out some of that conditioning stuff and see how you like it. The complex is Clean Grip High Pull, Snatch Grip High Pull and BB Row. 6 reps of each

Nice progress picture, mustache man.

P.S. Digging the Black Keys album.

And, I reward you with Britt!

Don’t forget to time yourself, Bonerjams, on that stupid fucking pyramid.

Greg, my chest and lats are so sore right now, I think I honestly hate you for mentioning this shit! Haha. And dude, that’s a little over a year progress? Fuck! I was going to try and get a back comparison together of a 2 year timeframe but shit, I think I’ll hold off on that until I’ve done some (stupid) BB style training and actually make a big difference, rather than just adding #s to my lifts. Haha!

I’ll try out that pyramid on sunday, what’s your best time 9:40?

lol! I just watched that video last night with my fiance… it was horrible! Her brother directs music videos and we were critiquing that one. Brittney looks hot though. She’s back to her old self… Gregron Likes!

Isnt The Black Keys album great? So awesome.

Check out this commercial. It would be cooler if it wasnt for Jim Beam but its still very very good. Most inspirational alcohol commercial of all time haha Plus William Dafoe is awesome.

Ink- Yeah man I’m pretty sore today. My back isnt sore at all buy my Tri’s are feeling smoked. Gonna get a sweet back workout in here shortly.

BonerJams- I cant remember what my best time is. 9:40 would be my best most recent time (as far as I can remember) but when I was in the military and smaller (like 190) I used to absolutely own the pyramid. I actually did it two times in a row once (when I was in spain on my way home from deployment) but that was over 20lbs ago… soooo yeah.
