Congrats! I’m sure there’ll only be good news on Friday.
I wrote this for you. You know, for doing well and everything.
P.S. The girl couldn’t even represent and pass the PAT? Duuuuudddde.

That’s my ZING! ![]()
Thank you baby! I knew you’d appreciate my song <3
Kalle- Thanks man. I appreciate the kind words
DF- Like DOW said… you would be incredibly surprised man. there were quite a few in shape guys but they were all light (actually was one HUGE guy wearing a World Gym shirt but he wasnt in my 10 o’clock group) it was crazy man… but yeah I would say half or more were within 10 lbs of the 175
DoveOfWar- Thanks man. I’m really hoping I can get in and I know i’ll run faster next time. There were quite a few spots where I could shave off some time.
MiM- Thank you very much Mimsy ![]()
Masch- Thanks! hahahaha one guy today actually called me an overachiever when I told him I ran a 3:04 lol I am somewhat of an expert when it comes to oral… ehm… examinations, so hopefully i’ll be fine ![]()
Nikki- yeah she didnt do to great. there was another girl who ran during the 8:30 group but she didnt pass either… not representing for the ladies
Went for a couple mile run this morning. Legs always seem to stay real tight for the first mile or so and then they loosen up. Heading to the Wild Animal Park today with my bro, sister in law and the cutest little girl in the whole world. My niece Bella
I’m really looking forward to it.
Gonna try and smash some weights when I get home but I might end up just doing so KB swings, weighted jump ropes, burpees and stuff like that at the house. We’ll see.
Hope everyones having a good Friday.
Sounds like you kicked serious booty on the test! I knew you would! Some of those big muscle dudes (Gregron) can MOVE! LOL! Glad you aren’t so muscle bound that you can’t get your obstacle course game on!
BTW,…in my best Arnold voice…All this muskular development is starting to make it hard for me to lower my arms. It is hard to be so JACKED! … This has been my excuse to lay around all weekend. ![]()
You still at the Park? =D
I forgot when your trip up to SC was. I would’ve thrown you some good recs, but it sounds like you had fun regardless.
Oh, and allegedly, SC city ordinance allows 5 “plants” per person…if you know what I mean. Should’ve got some brownies or something, buddy. You were in like the Napa Valley of the stuff.
Oh “plants” oh, ok, i see, mmhm. “fire academy” uhuh, sure, i get it. “Wild Animal Park” yeah, right.
Greg! Hi ![]()
PowerPuff- lol @ “so muscle bound” I like the Arnold impression. That’s as good of an excuse as any for a lazy weekend ![]()
Nikki- haha no I’m not still at the park
I’m back home now and feeling pretty sore today
Ponce- what’s up man? Yeah the SC trip was fun. We were at the beach house about 90% of the time so we didn’t do too much site seeing. Ever since I saw the movie The Lost Boys I always thought Santa Cruz was a vampire haven? Haha “Plants” huh? That’s not my thing but I know what you’re saying. Gregrons lungs are lifetime smoke free (minus second hand smoke I guess?) ![]()
Masch- oh haiiii!
Ok so Friday at the Wild Animal Park was awesome. So much fun hanging with the fam. Saturday was the Playoffs for my football team. We had two games scheduled for Saturday. If you win the first you play again, if not then you’re out. So we played our first game and absolutely demolished the other team. I played good and ran for 2 touchdowns and threw another. We won 20-0. Our next game was literally 10 minutes after the end of our first game. We were playing the number 2 seed in the playoffs.
The game was pretty back and forth. I had an interception while playing defense, and ran in a TD while on O. The other team scored with 2 minutes left to go up 12-8. Your boy gregron told the team to hop on his back lol. Drove down the field while picking the D apart. I threw a 30ish yard TD pass with 33 seconds left in the game. Everyone went nuts! We’re up 14-12 with :33 seconds left in the game.
Our defense forgets how to play all of the sudden and 5 plays later they score a TD with :03 seconds left to win the game. Talk about a heartbreakers lol. Pretty shitty way to go out but whatever. I was so beat up after the game that I was glad to be done for the season. The other teams were taking LOTS of cheap shots on me to try and take me out of the game. We almost had benches clearing brawls over it in both games (both of our last two seasons ended in brawls lol) I pulled my groin, got a serious deadleg from an intentional knee, giant blister on my toe, tweaked my ankle again and have a gnarly looking deep purple bruise on my hip hahaha. (beat up fa show! Haha)
Spent Saturday night/Sunday morning in Epsom salt baths, been icing like crazy and trying toget ready for my interview tomorrow. Gotta pick out which suit I want to wear to the interview and make sure everything is looking crisp. That’s about all that’s new over here. Hopefully I’ll know within the next couple days if I make it in or not, so we’ll see.

I’m currently sitting in a knowledge bomb shelter, so fire away.
Awesome job at kicking ass on that test and best of luck with the selection process.
Dude, tell me you went to the wild animal park so you could feel almost as awesome as I was feeling, right?
Keeping busy in here, good luck with the oral exam (like Masch said, LOL)
Oh, and I gotta take a pic of the bullet that was removed from my wildebeest for you, it’s fucking badass

more like 99. I swear no one has a real job in Santa Cruz haha
UPDATE:
I think my “strained hip/groin” is actually a hernia. Going to the VA Clinic first thing in the morning to hopefully get it checked out before my Oral Interview tomorrow.
EDIT: after reading more about hernia symptoms I’m 100% certain that I have one. If I can get the surgery by next week I might be able to recover in time to make this academy but with how the VA works… I dont think the chances of that happening are all that great…

Damn man. What’s the revovery on the surgery? If you need it, don’t wait. My knees would be a lot better if I’d taken that advice. Good luck brother.
