Ay homie, entertaining log you’ve got here–I’ve just spent the past half hour reading through it…

But I skipped most of the middle stuff, so I want to know: What happened to the Spartacus gig?

Hope that back heals up quick man…back injuries = no fun…I’ve had plenty of them in my day and the best thing that’s helped me is a Reverse Hyper…might be worth the $10 or whatever to head out to World Gym a couple times a week to use theirs!

Masch- how did you like Seattle? What was the weather like up there? My girl is from Seattle and I’ve got up there tons of times. When the weather is nice Seattle is one of the coolest/most beautiful cities around.

Ink- hey buddy. My fastest time (we did it twice) was :47 the next fastest in the class was 1:12. I totally dominated and it was awesome… But yesterday was not very awesome. I’m feeling a lot better today though!

I kinda got busy/side tracked with my girls car breaking, wedding planning, moving and trying to buy a new car. All that stuff kinda made me pass on the try out video thing. Lame, I know.

Greg, good to hear that you’re feeling well again. Sounded like one of those overexertion type things that just takes a few days to calm down. Looks like you’ll be kicking ass again in no time.

Wiggles- thanks a lot man. I hope you’re right. My back was feeling better sunday but I kinda over did it with some stuff I think and it was hurting again today. Not nearly like it was before but still sore. I foam rolled and stretched today but I’m not sure how much that helped. This afternoon my fiance and I went for a hike. it was a nice easy 40 minute hike probably? Pretty good and was nice to get out there and do something.

Gonna see how I feel tomorrow and maybe try to get a light little something in if I’m feeling like I wont screw it up again. Who knows though… this is pretty frustrating cause I’ve really been wanting to get back to training hard.

Got back in the gym today to get the blood flowing… man did it feel good. Started with shooting some hoops and then tried a few jumps

Theres the vid of my jumping today. My beck felt good… still a little sore/tight but better.

Then got in and did a light upper body workout just to get everything moving. All exercises were done with no rest. 3 sets of 10 reps

A1. Pull Ups
A2. Incline DB press w/ 75s

B1. Seated DB Press w/ 50’s
B2. HS iso Low Row 2pps

C1. Dips
C2. Seated DB curl w/ 50’s (only 8 reps on these)
C3. French Press for Tri’s EZ Bar w/ 25lbs on each side

Jumped rope for 7 minutes after that and came home. Light easy workout but it felt good. I was a little winded too lol… sad

Yeah buddy!! Glad to see you back in action, literally. Jumps are looking good! Reminds me I need to work on my jumping too. Mascherano gets air like a dump truck off a speed bump :frowning:

Nice little training sesh you got in there. I love doing circuit type work on my “light” days. In fact, just yesterday I tried my hand at this “concurrent training” where you basically switch up resistance work (3sets of 10-15reps) with cardio type stuff (7 mins jump rope, 1 mile run, 7 mins biking). You might like it, altho its a bit girlie - but done with intensity its hard shiz, esp jump roping (wtf!). I actually started off w/ the DB burpees! but i only ran my mile in 8:28 (pathetic! i used to run a <7 min mile in college) - to my credit, I always put the treadmill on a slight incline, otherwise it just doesn’t feel like work.

Anywho…

Seattle was awesome! I really loved that city tbh - i’m down with the industrial vibe and the people were super nice and interesting. I hit up a gym in downtown seattle that was pretty rad too. The weather was shit though and you know I love to get my tan on - so that’s a bit of deterrent.

I fucking loved Seattle as a kid. Went once with family, had a crazy time there. I remember watching all the torch workers making little glass trinkets…fell in love with glass. Signed up for a class around here. Have to find a weekend to go in.

Finally got all moved out of our old place and into the new one. Just got laptop internet access so not too much more of iphone tnationing. Spent the past two weeks (what felt like 3 months) packing and moving. Had to move mid week so only had help for two loads… the rest I moved myself. I basically at snack food all day, moved boxes and things, then had take out or pizza and beers for dinner cause the kitchen stuff was all packed and I couldnt cook. Pretty much a shit diet and no training for the past two weeks but I got into the gym today.

Got into the gym today and did a full body circuit to get everything moving and i was TIIIIGHT! I had to foam roll and stretch a lot. Then went into the gym to shoot hoops and get some jumping in. Needless to say… I felt AWESOME! I was jumping really well and even weighed in the same 207.5-208lbs.

I got my first ever two handed rim grab/hang. It was easy. Last time I tried I could barely knick the rim with my two middle fingers. Today I grabbed it with ease every time I tried (5 or 6 attempts) heres a video of my second try.

Then I got my giant full body circuit. There was no one in the gym so it was nice and open… didnt feel like a dickhead using all this equipment.

A1. DB Incline w/ 75s
A2. Pull Ups
A3. DB shoulder press w/ 50’s
A4. Alt Lunges w/ 50’s
A5. DB Row w/ 75
A6. Dips
A7. Bulgarian Split Squats w/ 50’s

3 sets of 8 on everything with 45 seconds rest at the end of the circuit. It was good and I was sweating pretty good by the end. Wanted to get everything flowing and back to lifting weights. Will probably do something similar to this all week then get back into a normal split next week.

heres a front shot where I look like the Pillsbury dough boy. Definitelyquite soft in the midsection… too much pizza and beer during the move. Gotta tighten things back up (pun intended) starting this week. as an old friend once said “time to go get it and come back wid it”

Nikki- I think it was a loss of 1-2lbs of muscle and a subsequent gain of 1-2lbs of fat… not that great but still the same weight. I shrink up real quick when I’m not hitting the gym :frowning: I almost didnt post my arm shot after I saw your flexing pic in your log
