WF- yeah i definitely need to practice more jumping while reaching with two hands. I get so much lower when doing that (probably why i dont practice it much) i would love to be able to go up and dunk two handed. I like the way two handed dunks look… that’ll be my next goal. Rim grab with two hands.

I hope you’re right. My left hip/ass cheek is all whacked off though. Ever since I slipped off the rim and ate shit that one time my booty meat has been all jacked lol. I’ve been stretching and foam rolling which has helped, so I’m not sure if I’ll jump today or wait till tomorrow

Wiggles- hahaha I’m working on reaching F-18 status. Can you/could you dunk? How tall are you? you should get back in there and get some videos. You can post them in the Vert/Speed thread in the conditioning forum. You’ll get some good advice/critiques over there. Me and SamSneed are working on getting in the “white guys dunking” club hahaha Thanks for checking out my log.

Mascherano - Thanks… I’ll keep that in mind and see if the gym has any extra torches lying around for next time  The burpees are good. They are one of my favorite forms of cardio (and I hope they’re helping my ups) Hows that shoulder feeling?
Me, Cook??? Oh I love to cook. you shoulda seen the fajitas i made for dinner last night. MMMM MMMM good! I’m glad that I’m being noticed for more than just my mustache… I’m not just a piece of meat

Greg thats awesome you were SWCC, I am meeting with a recruiter to find out about that tomorrow (dont let my name mislead you lol)

.

^ I will definitely drop you a line after I have a one on one with him, thanks man I appreciate it
Mascherano wrote:

And you cook?! I knew you were more than just a well groomed moustache ;)
Yeah he cooks and I’m trying to post a pic of his dinner… dammit.

…hiya Greg.

Hahaha bitches! Finally got the pic to post

Woot woot party over here

USMC- Definitely hit me up. Take everything the recruiter says with a grain of salt and hit me up afterwards. I’ll shoot you straight.

Nikki- Thats actually exactly what it looked like  hahah

I’m changing things up a bit this week. I’m going to up my frequency by combining bodyparts so that I hit everything twice a week. I think i respond better to more frequency.

Todays Workout: Chest/Shoulders/Tris

Warm Up:
2k row 7:43 (this felt awesome. Havent rowed in well over a month I would guess? It was great. Gonna be adding these back in fa shooooow)

BB Bench:
225 x 8, 8
275 x 6
315 x 3 drop set 225 x 10 (i felt a little fatigued which I attribute to the rowing but the 315 was really smooth)

DB Incline:
80 x 8
90 x 8
100 x 8 (felt a little twinge in my shoulder so I didnt go any heavier)

Dips:
BW 4 x 20 (didnt do any weighted dips cause of the aforementioned twinge)

Behind the back cable lat raises:
30lbs 3x12

Seated DB Press:
70x8
80x8
90x8

Tri Press Down:
150x12
190x10,9

Afterwards I shot some hoops for 15 minutes while i waited for my fiance to finish her workout. She came in the gym and we ended up shooting around for a bit and then played a game of one on one… it was a lot of fun and a really nice way to end the workout. The gym was CRAZY packed today for some reason? I wanted to start with the incline DB’s but couldnt and then i wanted to do the DB press before the laterals but couldnt do that either cause peeps were using the equipment… oh well. Good workout though.

I was wondering where the training was, like, unexpected deload :stuck_out_tongue:

I was uh, expecting more enthusiasm for my picture which took quite a while to draw ;(
I mean, I did the grill marks and everything.

Frequency rocks, I love it.

hahaha I was definitely excited for your picture. You’re drawing skill must have been hanging out with Bugs shoulder day… cause your drawing skills kick my drawing skills ass.

The grill marks were a nice touch. Its all about the details… details i say

Damn greg. You did work for that workout. Your shoulder numbers pretty much stayed the same despite all that volume you did before the pressing. That’s pretty impressive, I’d have thought all the tricep and ant delt activation from other benches would take their toll on your shoulder numbers.

No rear delt work? Or do you hit that on back day? I only ask because if you’re doing so many lifts with ant delt activation, you don’t want to form an imbalance and get injured or something.

Why are you never on COD? :frowning: lol. The past two times I got on you were online, but then I check and it says away for two days. Weaksauce haha. Now I pretty much can’t play until friday because I have a BIG exam on friday morning. We should hit it up this weekend sometime if you’re free and not too busy with the wedding prep and life in general.

hey man,

my shoulders are weird. They’ve kind of been at a plateau (strength wise) for a while now but I dont have a spotter and dont really feel comfortable pushing them ever since i had to have surgery. I know a lot of it is mental but I still just have trouble trying to push big weight with shoulders.

As far as rear delt goes… The gym was just too packed. Both of the pec deck machines were full all night (they seem to be a favorite of EVER underdeveloped person at the gym) and all the benches were pretty much full all night so I couldnt do reverse flys on there (i dont do bent over rear flys… they feel pointless to me) I’ll hit some rear delt stuff tomorrow on back day though… thanks for keeping me honest

COD??? I played a little bit today actually… but I do forget to turn off the xbox sometimes… oops. I’ve been kinda busy lately with school and trying to find a new place (yeah we’re moving at the end of the month) but have still been getting a little COD time.

heres gregrons “Jam of the Day”

this is one of my favorite songs right now and was blasting me through that 315 x 3.

Hmmm. Interesting song.

I offer a couple songs for you to listen to (not going to link them because I don’t want to clutter up your log)

 1. I don’t wanna care right now- Lupe Fiasco
 2. Till I get there-Lupe Fiasco
 3. Hard in the paint remix by Waka Flocka Flame ft Gucci Mane
 4. We be steady mobbin- Lil wayne
 5. That’s All she wrote - T.I ft Eminem

Those are pretty much my five favorite rap lifting songs right now.

i’ve got some of those already but I’ll check out the others… i have a pretty eclectic taste in music and its pretty funny what pops up on my ipod that I rock out to while lifting. You guys are going to be surprised with some of my “Jams of the Day” choices lol

Not my… cup of tea.
But you humored my drawing, so I’ll approve of your Jam of the Day… for now.

My JOD is:
It’s Not You by Halestorm

Yes, it was on repeat for 15 minutes.

Only jam needed.

Was playing in my iPod last night during squats.

Dethklok rulez!

For the mustache.

Nikki- I’ll have to check that song out for sure

“Jam of the Day”
Coheed and Cambria - Welcome home

Workout from last night: Back/Bi’s (gym was really packed again today)

stretched and then 30 minutes of basketball, no real jumping cause my hips felt really tight.

Wiiiiiiiiiiide grip pull ups:
4x8

V handle rows:
180lb x 3 x 10 with a 1-2 second paused contraction on each rep. these felt awesome.

Stretchers:
135lbs x 3 x 12

DB Rows:
120lbs x 3 x 8 with a pause/squeeze

Wide Grip lat pull down:
3x10

then for Bi’s I did:
Preacher curl w/ EZ Bar
Alt DB curls
Reverse curls

It was a pretty good workout. Now its back to apartment hunting and taking a final today

Good jam. Good workout. Good luck…finding an apt. Might I suggest the Montierra Apts just a few minutes north of the lovely MCAS Miramar? You’ll get to hear the wonderful sound of CH-53’s, CH-46’s (until the last ones are replaced by the stupid V-22), and F-18s all the time! As an added bonus, you’ll have the privelige of living where I did, before I got out.

Edit: Holy shit, rent has gone up a couple hundred $$/month. Damn economy…

Semper Fi, Sailor!
