Caloric intake will totally depend on how much I do my other stuff - swimming, playing ball, running and mma.

Honestly, I can see what you’re saying - but your waist isn’t THAT much thicker. You still have a natural taper, and like Debra said, shoulders and lats are there, so I think it will be super easy for you to get that V.
MIM, I totally worry about getting a thick waist! I’ve got slim hips, so no curves - this is also why I don’t mind carrying a little fat on the hips and ass.
Try having a couple kids…all the fat you gain goes right to the butt/hips! At least it did for me, haha!

It’s decision time. If I keep training heavy deads and rotational core strength for MMA it could continue to get bigger. I think I’m going to bump all core work into the 15-20 rep range to avoid this.
There’s no easy way to actually lose muscle and my back is already pretty wide so the taper looks better from behind. I’ll get a pic from the back up soon so you can see what I mean.

3hours - you put us to shame! plus what everyone else said about your waist. You look balanced - good muscle in shoulders, def not a thick waist.
I honestly think you look better in the white bikini pic. The added muscle on your waist looks good, and you’ve put muscle on everywhere else too.
