Bobbi's Log

It’s very true. And I’ll probably be there soon enough. This was the year for me to actually ‘look,’ the part…I could take a couple tips from you!

So how do you devise your training program?

are you targeting specific muscles? what’s your long term plan?
btw nice shoulders and lats:)

impressive video.
The nice thing about your training is that it’s actually good for your “real job.” Very cool.

To answer the questions about my program - I’m to the point now where I designate days for certain muscle groups but not much beyond that. There are no exercises or set/rep schemes written out for each day. I used to do that but now I trust to go off feel. I wouldn’t recommend this to people getting into bodybuilding but this is my homeland

BB split

Chest and Shoulders
Legs and Abs
Back and Arms

Key points are upper chest, abs, hamstrings and triceps.

Molly - see how it’s a lot easier to say “Alright today you have CG bench, french press and my tricep exercise.” - LOL - try it out sometimes, it’s one of my faves because you’ll tire of the skullcrushers first of course, then rep out the underhand press and it will slowly rotate to neutral and then overhand. Love it.

M - I like to hit various heads and muscles at different angles so I usually only do a set or two per exercise.

Kimba - I see what you did there

Basically I sat down and thought about it and came to the decision that 2 years spent perfecting my body were worth more to me in the other parts of my life than 2 years spent adding 100lbs to my lifts.

No one gives a shit what I lift. The average person doesn’t know the different between a 200 and 300lb lift. Lifting more at this point won’t help me get more clients or draw any more attention to myself and my business. Personally, I don’t give a shit what I lift either. I’m happy with my strength levels for now and have no real desire to get stronger.

Looking better, however, has a lot of perks. The average person ALWAYS responds to a defined physique over numbers. I can say I deadlift 500lbs and the woman I just met at a party won’t care. But as often as I get asked to flash my abs - to show a full 6 pack, cut shoulders, and hot, solid legs - that’s what gets attention and clients.

For me, no longer playing competitive sports, the physical and mental abuse of strength training has outweighed it’s perks. I’ve gone at it for a solid 2 years and now it’s time to switch back.

Oh, and I’m MUCH better at bodybuilding XD

Well said, Bobbi.

HAHA! Vid is awesome.

Interesting methodology, can’t wait to see what develops! (pun intended)

I’ve never followed a program but I always thought I probably should. I’m terrible at sticking to a plan however.

I loved the posing video!

If you ever don’t know, ask

It’s the lever leg press, of course, for 2 minutes Time Under Tension. I load a couple plates on there, usually a 10-12 rep max, and start repping out. When I die I’ll hold it with knees bent, do little half reps, do some more full reps, do whatever I can until the 2 minutes is up. TUT is great for making legs grow grow grow XD

Nice! This sounds like something I’d love! Damn I wish I were in the market for getting hyooge. Are you taking in more cals, or is that something you don’t need to pay attention to.

I’m ramping into my BB diet. It gets strict as hell so I can’t just cannonball in. haha
