Those TRX Scarecrows look brutal! I’ll have to find some way to try that out at my gym.
And to chime in with everyone else, no, your waist doesn’t look thick in the least, thanks to your muscular back & shoulders. I don’t notice much of a difference as far as proportions go between the two pics. And I would kill for a 27’’ waist!
The TRX holds do look hella hard. I think we have some of those thingies at the gym in a drawer somewhere - you can loop em over the pull-up bar. Perhaps I’ll try the holds out, they’re going to kill my chest I’m sure (possible boobie strain?).
I guess I’m just bummed that the chances of me seeing a sub 26" waist are about 0 if I continue lifting the way I do. The problem isn’t so much building the muscle to make the waist look small but the things I can’t change like my narrow hips and B cups - both of which look better with a tiny waist.
PS It’s 10:40am and I have yet to go to sleep. Got a migraine for the first time in years kept me up all night…now I’m drugged up but not sleepy…rarrr…
Well, the last thing I want is a thick waist, so I completely understand your concern. I don’t do rotational training. I do deadlift, but not super heavy (yet). Hmmm. I never figured on a bodybuilding downside to powerlifting.

Sorry to hear about your migraine, my mom gets those & really suffers. Hope you’re feeling better by now![/quote]
My mom still gets them really bad too. I got them a lot when I was younger but grew out of them. I am drugged up on some percocet right now. Combo of migraine and cramps = death without painkillers. haha
deja, i think she posted those measurements at the bottom of that link with photos. there or the previous blog.
which brings me to a question: where on the waist line do people measure? the smallest part, the ‘natural’ waist line for your belly? i hope that’s it, ffs.
and do you measure under the boobage for chest? and hip is where you can feel your hip bone?
pleeease tell me the rest of you aren’t measuring hips at the butt perk. now most of you saw my squat video, so you might agree i’m not a heffer, but my ‘butt perk’ is 40. i have a round, but tight booty and no problems with it. my hip at the bone part is 37. and i won’t mention my fat belly here in Ms Thang’s log.
and deja, for whatever reason, my posts to your log are taking like 10 min to show up. everyone else is instant. wtf?
hey, thanks bobbi for the space here. hope your napping cured you.
since bobbi’s too lazy to copy paste her shit here… i don’t feel bad fillin up her log.

HAHAH! Burn. I want to help fill up your log with randomness too!
Seeing everyone’s varied workouts makes me constantly want to change my workout! Alas, patience little Mascherano, I have a life of weight lifting ahead of me - there will be time for proper body building.
All you can do is get bigger shoulders and bigger legs and butt I’ve lost almost all the fat on my hips so my glutes and quads are all that define my lower body curves now. I really believe you can build curves with muscle.
I noticed while seeing some of the male long track speedskaters warming up when I was at some of the events that at a glance some of them actually appeared feminine. Warming up because they were actually upright and just coasting around the track so you could see their asses. I figured this was because the overall effect of having large thighs and ass with smaller upper body (compared to say the men’s bobsleigh! They have big asses but proportional everything else)
Does anyone do abdominal vacuums? I posted this somewhere before but I walk around with my gut sucked in, my abs tight and my chest out a bit. My mom taught me to keep my posture like this to maintain my figure (her words) and now it’s subconscious.
Tal, I measure like Deja. When I pull out the measuring tape I measure my chest across the nipples, under the boob (think bra band size) the smallest part of my waist, the widest part of my hips/ass, the top of my thighs and mid thigh.

continuing on with hijack of Bobbi’s log…
yep, Debra, i have “stomach vacuumed” since i don’t know when. now it’s subconscious as well. which can be bad if i’ve eaten too much, i have to force it to relax! i’m glad i’m not alone in this.
i like the smallest part of waist but measuring the booty with hips just puts me in another category. j-lo booty/hips i guess.
note to self “yes, i love my ass-don’t compare measurements just like you can’t compare lifts!”
