M - I know right?! I’m friggn excited about this lasagna.
T - Cardio is for your heart…I think sometimes we forget that. I think cardio is great and important for heart health and conditioning.
Now using SS cardio for fat loss is inefficient for some people and by some people I mean athletes and people who are already lean and in good shape. If this is you, you would be correct to do HIIT/intervals or something similar.
Then again, people (writers, “experts”) swing so far to one end following trends that they forget who they’re talking to. The average person WILL lose fat on SS cardio. The average person can’t put out the effort to do real HIGH INTENSITY interval training anyway. They can run intervals but they won’t burn nearly as many calories as they would’ve if they had just done the stair climber for 45 minutes.
If you’re unconditioned like you say then any kind of SS cardio would probably help you lose fat. Run 2 miles 3 times a week and tell me you’re not going to lose fat…see what I’m saying?
PS. Swimming burns more calories than most other forms of cardio and is no/low impact = healthy joints!
holy shit, thank for your time miss bobbi!
i don’t consider myself unconditioned, i was kinda referencing myself to you (SWS)and a comparison to the workouts you do compared to what i’m capable of atm (various injuries keeping me from say, hill sprints, jump roping, plain old running)
i agree cardio is great for the heart, endurance/conditioning. i used to do quite a bit of it. 40 min minimum after weights.
yes, i wish i had access to a pool cause i would so be in it.
Hope it helped and hope you know I just call you SWS because I think you can take it
I’m eating eggs right now, I could use some SWS…
Very nice pulling.
Your position on a belt for deadlifting? I’m trying to decide whether to buy one or not.
And, I’m now hungry for lasagna.

I use one.
i bet we could start a thread called “Douche of the Day.”
we then could all re-cap the entertainment we saw at the gym. although like the rest of you i’m sure, i try not to look too much because it is so god danged distracting to my lifts and whatever mojo i got going on.
you are a maniac bobbi…and i mean that with love.
Great success! Awesome workout as per usual.
I think I’d end up in the “douche of the day” thread with some of the dum-dum antics I pull! almost knocked my own tooth out hoisting a plate just the other day.
I see going back to BB style in my future…
I’ll leave in deads and bench with dbs…pretty much everything else will change.

Why?
(see, I’m posting to your log, Bobbi-style)
Yo, I love your workouts! You do a lot of shit - I like to do that too.
Holy F that’s a lot of shit! You are ridiculous! I am FRIED after a few exercises! Nice work!
As for the tricep exercise… a “Key Press into a Neutral Grip DB Skullcrusher?” Umm… nevermind. Bobbi’s Tricep Exercise is MUCH catchier! =D
Molly - see how it’s a lot easier to say “Alright today you have CG bench, french press and my tricep exercise.” - LOL - try it out sometimes, it’s one of my faves because you’ll tire of the skullcrushers first of course, then rep out the underhand press and it will slowly rotate to neutral and then overhand. Love it.
M - I like to hit various heads and muscles at different angles so I usually only do a set or two per exercise.
Kimba - I see what you did there
Basically I sat down and thought about it and came to the decision that 2 years spent perfecting my body were worth more to me in the other parts of my life than 2 years spent adding 100lbs to my lifts.
No one gives a shit what I lift. The average person doesn’t know the different between a 200 and 300lb lift. Lifting more at this point won’t help me get more clients or draw any more attention to myself and my business. Personally, I don’t give a shit what I lift either. I’m happy with my strength levels for now and have no real desire to get stronger.
Looking better, however, has a lot of perks. The average person ALWAYS responds to a defined physique over numbers. I can say I deadlift 500lbs and the woman I just met at a party won’t care. But as often as I get asked to flash my abs - to show a full 6 pack, cut shoulders, and hot, solid legs - that’s what gets attention and clients.
For me, no longer playing competitive sports, the physical and mental abuse of strength training has outweighed it’s perks. I’ve gone at it for a solid 2 years and now it’s time to switch back.
Oh, and I’m MUCH better at bodybuilding XD

Solid, solid reasoning. Were I a trainer, I would get to this exact place.
Agreed from my own experience: the six-pack, shoulders and booty/legs get lots of attention from the Public. The “how much I can deadlift” conversation merits only passing interest.

Solid reasoning indeed.
Two things:
- So what exactly are you planning to do?
and
- If you’re going to dedicate yourself to body building you should supply us with progress pics, no?
M - Ask and you shall receive.
