Thanks ya’ll and M - I was eating while I was there as I usually do when I go over an hour.
I wanted to stay in the pool but I ran out of food, then ran out of gatorade and my friends were blowing up my phone to go be social. haha
you go girl! did i miss WHY the pukey fairy comes to see you?
did my avi give away my heritage?
(spicy weak sauce)

Holy crap! I just had a revelation! Maybe my workouts turn to shite because I need to eat…
Are you hungry? Or is this a conscious decision?
T - yah avi is a give away SWS.lol
M - Conscious decision. My clients who do more than an hour eat during their workouts too - gotta keep fueling the fire!
Only 2 hours in the gym today. Most of it in the pool. Pulled 2x215 but the dbags next to me put me in a bad mood so that’s all I did.
great courage on your part wit teh swimmin.

You love me? Alisa, I never knew! haha
Sorry, that was a drunkpost.
I am a very nice drunk. Mostly I sing a lot and hug everybody.
I’d take 2x215 any day, d-bags or not.

Hmm…maybe I should try this?
What kinds of things you eating? what about just drinking a shake during the w/o?

I have a freezer within 20ft of my workout space (at home) so I take a spoon and get a few mouthfuls of Breyer’s right out of the tub >:-D
Probably not the best …but it is good! And it works fast too.
A - yah I figured.lol
K - you’ll get there and pass me soon enough I’m sure!
M - I like ON 2:1 shakes or a protein bar and gatorade or juice (the real kind with the all the sugar).
Just when I was starting to question the purpose of my strength training I was sent a sign.
I got home from 2 hours in the gym today to find the lady from next door totally stuck in a rut of ice in the parking lot.
First, I spent 30 minutes digging out all the snow and ice around her tires. Next, I got a piece of plywood to shove down in the snow so I would have something to push my feet against. Finally, I braced up and started rocking her fn ford escape back and forth before finally throwing everything I had into it and pushing out. Total max effort. If I didn’t lift like I do I’d NEVER have gotten her out of there. Very happy ![]()
Plus, as thanks she said she’d bring me a lasagna - score! haha
That’s amazing. It’s useful!
Todays workout… 2 hours total… http://bobbiskai.blogspot.com/2010/02/limelight-phase-2-l3-again.html
what do you mean the purpose of your strength training?
that looks like a helluva workout!
legit question: the 50 min of swimming doesn’t impact your muscles after such a heavy workout? (in regards to possible catabolism and such?)
too bad you like brief posts or i’d take another sentence to tell you what an awesome thing you did for your neighbor and hell yeah to digging a car out of the snow…

lol no…catabolism is so hard to induce…people overestimate themselves and their ability to overtrain…an hour of lifting + an hour in the pool is nut’n honey ;)…but good question…I see that topic tossed around here a lot…
F*ing score on the lasagna! You’re a good neighbor, good and strong.
Dude, your workouts are ridic. I WANT! And that was only 2hrs?!
ok, so if catabolism isn’t likely, but for less conditioned people like myself, do you advise against doing “cardio” (such as a stupid machine) for 30- 40 min after weight training?
it seems i’ve read quite often that one should keep them on separate sessions-or do some quick HIIT instead of long SS cardio.
i can totally see where swimming would be awesome and maybe less stressful on the body than pounding the treadmill or doing the hamster imitation. ![]()
