Recently some of the articles showing up are amusing to me…
I can’t be the only one that continually finds correlations in the articles written on T-Nation and the things I’m doing in the gym.
The kettlebell article really showed the benefit of doing something different, showing that while it’s great to be super strong, push 315 on the bench, etc. There is something to be said for being able to run a mile and not keel over.
Waterbury’s new book has a big focus on rep speed and number of reps and what not for strength and size. (IF I READ BETWEEN THE LINES CORRECTLY)
The common trend in everything that actually works is KISS - Keep it Simple Stupid.
I kind of think its amusing that there are so many people against CF, yet the goal is exactly what everyone is maturing to… FUNCTIONAL MUSCLE
There is something to be said for benching 315 and being able to run a 6 minute mile…
That’s fit… why is it so difficult for everyone to accept that?
Death by Clean and Jerk
Pack Scale
With a continuously running clock do one 95 pound Clean and Jerk the first minute, two 95 pound Clean and Jerks the second minute, three 95 pound Clean and Jerks the third minute? continuing as long as you are able.
Use as many sets each minute as needed.
9 Rounds, 8 Reps - 10 Mins I dunno if this is good or not… but it wasn’t easy
2-3 Mins of Jumping Rope
“Rope Pullups”
Threw the rope attachment over the big pullup bar/cable machine and did pullups like this supposed to emulate Towel pullups which are a sub for Rope Climb
Unfortunately most gyms don’t have bumper plates so you can’t just drop them. We do some CF stuff here at our fire station (at least the best we can). Be carefull adding extra stuff onto your workouts, if you talk with CF guys they’ll prolly tell you to stick to the WOD as much as possible.
But your making great progress keep up the good work!
Form was pretty awful towards the end, and the only reason I dropped doing weighted was I literally couldn’t do 1 anymore… my pullups are very weak… 2nd only to my benching ability.
Also, look is different as I had to rearrange my room, and I tried out a techinque to get a better white balance on my camera… I think it is a true representation, but the lighting and room pos are different

I find it hard to believe you’re 22.2%, we took measurements in class a few weeks ago, there are 2-3 guys with about your same build who’s BF was around 12% with a 3 point caliper test. Doesn’t really mean anything as everyone is different but if you’re 22.2% then I gotta be around 45%, I just don’t see it.
