Blaze-Better Dead than Average

Good Chest session, ok tricep session. lol.

Inc DB Press
85’sx8
90’sx8 (triceps felt really weak on these, it was fast out of the hole but slow at the top of the rep)
dropped to
80’sx12
85’sx8

Incline Flies (paused at bottom, squeezed at contraction)
40’sx10
45’sx10
50’sx10

Cable Crossover FST-7
90x10,10,10
80x10,10,10,10 (last time I did these, it was 80 for all sets, so volume PR)
Chest was cashed and pumped as hell.

CGBP
don’t want to talk about it. Triceps were super weak today. haha.

Rope Pressdowns
110x12
120x12
120x10 (down 10lbs every set)

DB French Press (seated, unilateral)
35x6/6
40x6/6
40x4/4

Not sure why my triceps were doing so badly today. Might be that I switched up my tricep workout earlier in the week and hit them in a different manner. I’ll figure it out. Still got a good pump in em.

Had a good Hams/Traps sesh.

Deadlifts
225x10
315x6
365x4
405x3
425x3 +2 rep PR

Straight Leg Deads
195x12
245x12
265x12

Shrugs (paused at contraction)
235x10
255x10
285x10
305x10 +5

Ham Curl FST-7
130x12 (4 sets)
120x12 (3 sets)

Done. Lower back, traps, and hams were trashed already. Doing delt and calves work I missed tomorrow. Felt good to go heavy on deads. My back wasn’t feeling that great coming in, so I’m happy with the PR as well.

Thanks man! I actually think I might have been able to force one more out, kinda kicking myself for not going for it.

Thanks man! I appreciate it. My lower back hates me right now. lol.

After the workout, I took some time to relax, then helped a friend move into his house. My lower back wasn’t happy.

tripling a former PR is good stuff.

Recently, I’ve been sort of just leaning up while maintaining mass.

Usually my eating has been something like:

Breakfast:
banana, cup of yogurt, glass of milk

Post workout:
Weight gainer (just to keep some calories up)
Protein
Creatine (5g)
Milk
another banana

Mid-day meal:
1 lb of some meat (usually pork or chicken)

Night time:
a shake consisting of whey isolate and milk
2 tbsp of peanut butter

I’ll attach a picture of the diet I’m starting sometime in the next week.

Thanks though man! Appreciate it and glad to motivate. Let me know if you have any questions about anything else.

Busy day today! Worked 9am-2pm, I have to go back to work at five. Considered just taking a nap, but didn’t want to miss my session, so I went to get a workout in. Have to do another 6 hours of work still tonight, fml lol.

Bicep death. Had a nice back pump. Considering I had only had a pop tart, 2 pieces of ezekiel bread with grass-fed butter, a couple cups of coffee and a glass of milk in the six hours before my workout, I’m pretty happy with it.

Damn I need to get my curls up

I feel you on the shitty work hours, god damn how I hate the food service industry. If only going to college didn’t cost so much money…

nice curls… preachers have been my jams lately. Looks like uuuuuuuuuuuuurryone is doing the Ezekiel bread thang? Looks like i’m gonna have to join the cool kid club soon

what kinda job you have? sounds crazy!

Haha. Mine aren’t that impressive, at least not to anyone who’s not a powerlifter haha.

Haha yeah, they were pretty rough. Thankfully I only work single shifts the rest of the week.

Thanks man. Preachers are def good, slowing the negatives on them hurts soo bad though. Yeah, headed into STL with the guys and hit up a couple whole food stores, found Ezekiel bread for $4 a loaf (like $7 at the only place that has it in town), we all bought a bunch of it and pretty much took all their ezekiel bread haha. Give it a try! So far I’ve only tried the cinnamon raisin but it’s really good.

I’m a line cook at Bully’s Smokehouse, a BBQ/rib place. Kitchen hours can be hectic. At first, they weren’t even going to let me go all day, so it would have been 14 hours straight, but instead it slowed down for a while, I got a three hour break (that I lifted for two hours of), and worked a total of 11 hours lol.

Chest/Tris
I barely ate yesterday, no time/was stressed, so I figured pressing would be weak today. I was kinda right. Day started off bad, I backhanded a glass of milk (on accident) all over my room, and washed and ruined my mp3 player, so I had to workout without music.

Flat BB bench
135xsome
185x10 +2 rep
195x7+1f
205x4
Somehow reached failure really fast on these.

HS Incline (every rep from a dead stop, squeezed at top)
1p+25psx8
1p+35psx8
2ppsx7,6

Inc. Flies
40’sx10
45’sx10
50’sx10

DB Seated Ext. bumped up the reps on these as I didn’t have a spotter I trusted for them
80x12
85x12
90x12
95x10
Pumpzz

Pressdowns (lat pulldown)
80x10
90x10
100x6

OH Rope Extension (first two sets done with slow positive and negative, paused at full stretch)
100x10
110x8+2p
120x9+1p
DROP
80x20

Fly machine burnout
90x20 (easy)

Had a good pump going on.

Edit: Double Post
