I enjoy lifting heavy, i enjoy eating copious amounts of food and as stated, it really suits my physique and genetics

really got to put some effort into my log and get it back but im literally balls deep in so many projects I continue to neglect it
Work is ridik busy atm, on the plus side in 2 weeks im signed off my apprenticeship so can start my own gig
Right so im currently in a set routine with my own personal 10 week challenge that ends this coming thursday going along side with the Tnation one
Was well documented that im using 2018 as a consistent leaning year, hopefully getting down to low double digit fat percentage (for no other reason then i havent been there before and I want to jump on the ab train)
Strongman is still the plan for next year, however I have really started converting to crossfit style workouts and oly lifts and im really starting to enjoy it so i suppose there is that if the strongman doesnt ever work out
Hence why ill add some different lifts for my Repmaxs shortly as opposed to the standard 4

So 7 days a week ill do atleast 30mins fasted cardio
Apparently I has advantages removing stubborn fat, it seems to work to get rid of my love handles but I dont do it for that, I just really enjoy getting up at 4am and going for a walk, does wonders for mental clarity

Working out in a crossfit box
Changes every workout, but last weeks one was 1.5km run, 21/15/9 of pullups, toes to bars, power cleans 1.5km run
AMRAP split in pairs, laddering exercises
kettlebell deadlifts (34kg KB) 2/4/6 etc for 4 min
Burpees 2/4/6 etc
Shit like that
Its brutal
But fuck me I love conditioning and seeing what Im capable of being able to do
Diet is incredibly clean
Like ridiculously clean
One refeed a week
Hence the drop from 132kg to like 116 atm
But im loving it, havent felt this way in a long time with my joints and mental mindset
Yes im sore, but to be able to knock out these workouts at speeds that would rival regional CFT’ers is pretty cool

@The_Mighty_Stu hey stu, have any recommendations for taking “after” photos for a before and after 10 week transformation challenge my local supp store has run?
Currently on herbal diuretics for the days leading up too the photos taking about 7L of water a day, was going to get a light tan done and drop water intake for the 18hours prior for the photos

I’ve always been very susceptible to stomach bloat from certain foods, and as such, I would typically avoid fibrous veggies the last few days. Also, as I tend to look very tight right out of bed, I’d try to carb up on non-bloating foods (low volume, but plenty of simple carbs)
Water wise, I’m a fan of plenty of water, and plenty of sodium for the majority of any peak weeks, except for a drastic scale back in fluids just to reduce volume of the gut. Cutting water is never a great idea, unless you’re juggling water retention due to certain anabolic substances.
Also, the tan will help greatly!

Hard to believe its been almost a month since the local challenge had ended and im not going to lie and say that I didnt enjoy the break, but onwards it goes
Diet has been
Meh
Like rolling at about 80% clean, 20% pizza, iced coffees and KFC but im kinda floating around 1000000 different goals that I just gotta pick one and go for it
Their isnt really that many but yall will hear it and think its whack how contrasting the goals are
Im ultra competitive, hence why when i set my mind to a singular goal, ill fucking smash it out of the park, but when im floating like i am here, im annoying myself because im literally only giving my goals like 20% capabilities
So they currently are, strongman, crossfit regionals, achieving visible abs, filling out my frame, and comp prep for a bodybuilding show
And a part of my mind has convinced myself that it is achievable in the way of "oh okay lets get abs first, then diet down to comp stage ready, use that level of leanness to strategically plan out to fill out my frame (achieving strength gains) and compete in a crossfit comp to get to regionals, and eventually finish in strongman.
But just knowing that all these goals contradict themselves by chopping and changing, Ill just be spinning my wheels and ultimately get no where
Stuck in a difficult mindset at the moment and im just trying to make up my mind what I WANT to do, and just do it

The worst thing to do is to do nothing. Just pick one and go at it 100%?

Substituted deadlift rep ranges last to 531 as ive been incorperating 531 progression models to deads, squats and bench
I noticed in an article wendler posted a few months ago on what his thoughts were of people doing their own program from any other coaches then incorporating the fundamentals of 531 into them for whatever workout that people want to gain strength in, to my surprise he doesnt take offence to it and doesnt think of it as changing his workouts around, as all that is being done to using his progression models in a seperate program.
Seems to be working as everything else is really just assistance to the big lifts.
Im sure you could then question why I dont just follow 531 to a tee, which the only honest answer I could say is I dont know why, but this seems to be working for me at the moment, and have been following it for a few months now with strength gains still progressing
Just finished up at the gym, got a little motivated watching crossfit regionals so I decided to do “linda”
10/9/8/7/6/5/4/3/2/1 reps x2
Deadlifts at 100kg
Bench at 60kgs
Cleans at 70kgs
A fuck tonne of volume
First round took me a smidge under 14 mins
2nd took me a little longer at 16 and a half mins
Trained with a D1 coach and I kept a decent pace, felt good considering last week was a deload and minimal cardio
Weights hovering between 115/117kgs so down close to 20kgs in the last 14 weeks
