You’re going to need a tape measure in addition to your ruler to get the circumference of your excrement. If it’s not length you’re going for, you need to calculate the total volume of the sphere for complete accuracy.

And even then, the question remains: Is it well-formed, fluffy, easy to pass, light brown and earthy-smelling?

The real question is will you lie down on it to do DB presses? If you don’t you will probably be all non-functional and weak.

TSB?
Hmmm, not much gets past you.

The swiss ball has been around for at least 20 years numbnutts!

Anybody else catch this?

Relatively new.

Nothing like thinking you’ve got the best insult and it fucks up on ya.

Keep it up SkyzykS.

Did you just come in for the last page of the thread? Or have you read it all?
The point is that no one but a complete neophyte thinks that stability balls are new. Besides when you make a statement about relation you should complete the statement by stating what the relation is, like- The use of stability balls is relatively new COMPARED to the bench for pressing movements.

Missed that question about brain function in an attempt to look smart though didn’t ya? Numbnutts!

This is great stuff. 2 Trolling in a unified effort. WOW.

Swiss Ball anything = GAY

Unless you are recovering from serious back or shoulder injury, or plan on working the circus, it has no real place in the bulking and strength world …period.

Sure? Kim Jong Bouillon comes to mind…
Sxio wrote:
Millions more have benefited from bench presses because millions more have probably done them. That in itself does not mean they are a better exercise.

But what’s better? They are just alternatives to work the same muscle group!

I don’t know why so many are such vociferous defenders of movements. It’s like getting into something over Dips Vs tricep extensions. They BOTH have something to offer and BOTH can be enjoyable.
I agree with you there. I just think that as far as max effort/hypertrophy goes, a little stability goes a long way, especially towards not getting hurt. I may swiss press some day(if I hert my shoulder or something esp.), but I’m not gonna try it with 110’s.

Totally. Going for a 3RM on an unstable surface would not be a great idea. A good push workout incorporating a ball could be 1)a few low rep heavy sets on an incline for strength, then 2)a few high rep sets on a ball with a lighter weight for the pump.

Finish with 3)shoulder press of varying reps (start low, finish high) and 4)a superset of dips and tricep extension.

Best of all worlds.

We always thought it was funny when the Brittish kids would come out and throw rocks at our school bus and shout things like that at us.

Holy shit, this worthless thread is still alive? I have a feeling some of the worst threads live the longest, like cockroaches.

This is obvious Bullshit. Forget it.

Swiss Ball functionality right there. By all accounts on this thread, the Cat in the Hat should be able to outbench anyone on T-Nation based on this picture.

I’d rather say he should have healthier shoulders, perkier bowel movements and an edge when it comes to pushing pencils, but I could be wrong.

Judging by the ring he left in the bathtub, he can’t be all that healthy on the inside.

Plus, he has all those people living inside his hat with no pluming, air conditioning, sewage, running water…his head must be a cesspool. Maybe that’s what caused the ring. That’s why he broke into the kid’s house and refused to leave. He needed to clean out his hat.

Because some people are stupid.

So do I. So he isn’t scared of falling off? Just try it Kratos, you might like it.

Agreed. To key to being a well rounded athlete or bodybuilder is a variety of exercises. Funny how bodybuilders like Arnold and co changed peoples perceptions of training and wanted others to have an open mind and embrace the look. Now bodybuilders are the close minded.

Ok man, how much of yours or anybody else’s development can you honestly attribute to swiss ball presses?

How much of your development can you contribue to any one exercise? Squats & Deadlifts aside.

Quote it. Find it posted anywhere. I think you’ll find all that have been said is that a swiss ball bench press is a good alternative.

Everybody else has made good arguments. Prof X and the groupies have been rather intelligent with it all. You are the only guy posting in here that has made no sense.

Your old Avatar looked like the front cover of it. The old one on the beach.

By the way, your pec development is poor. Perhaps you are lacking variety to maximise your gains.

They are all that is necessary for this particular exercise. Read the posts a little better. I get tired of saying this!

It has a very big place in the Swissball DB Press

Idiot. If I give the real stats, nobody would believe me. Yet everyone is too happy to believe me with 6-1, 165.

As I have said before. Read the posts a little more thoroughly. Don’t just read a Prof X reply and take his side without first educating yourself in the topic.
