Beyond 531 Release?

Had my first session with Joker sets and First sets last today. I was much stronger on the sets after my PR 5/3/1 set than I expected to be, and I left the gym feeling like I’d ticked all the training boxes for bench for that day. Looking forward to Squat day.[/quote]

This is great. Raise your expectations and your performance will rise!

It’s funny how that works, eh?

Do you find that training the press and bench press at a 1:1 ratio works or do you find that having more of a focus and volume on one or the other works better? I’m thinking I’m going to use the 531 and am trying to set up my upper body programming.

Lol. No matter what he does people will still have an endless supply of questions about 5/3/1.

I was thinking about this earlier . I think a lot of people have so many questions because they never read the book in the first place

that’s why I love so much this program.
I’m in for 5+ months now, and don’t get bored.

I stick with the template and % for the basic lifts, and play with all other variables.
Once you understand this, you understand 99% of the program, and you understand that all questions about that remaining % is useless.

Jim, you did an excellent job on this book. Dave Tate was right, this book showed more of your knowledge and ability than the other editions. I bought the book expecting not to learn much more about the program but I was amazed. Ill certainly recommend it to others.

Certainly, though I’ve emailed Jim a couple of times with questions, simply because if I am logging (and repping) his template I want to make sure I’m running it as he intended. The base philosophy is still simple and relatively idiot proof.

After reading what everyone has said about it I’m excited about getting it.

Pretty awesome. I have every book other than the 2nd edition of 5/3/1, so I have no idea what SST is. Other than that it’s great. You could stay busy for a lifetime with the templates in this book.

Thanks - go forth and set PR’s.

Hey Mr. Wendler, I am very excited about this book. I have had great success with the 5/3/1 boring but big in the past and am eager to see what is next. So when will it be back ‘in stock’ on your site?

Ebook is not “out of stock”. Due to piracy issues, we had to use a different source for the ebooks that is not compatible. Just look for the big bold letters that say “Must Purchase Below”. The button is right there. it is inconvenient for everyone but I have to do everything I can to protect my work. I know it is no longer popular to take pride in one’s work and efforts but I do.

My father didn’t raise a cunt.

Oh, I understand. Will the ebook be sent via email, like elite fts ebooks??

You get emailed a link and the link takes you to the download.

Jim,

I think there is a typo on page 76 :

“The ‘B’ workout consists of multiple sets of 3 reps at around 85%” is written below the 75% volume work titel, and I think it is a typo
