Betty Strong

If the center of the lesion is dark, then usually a spider bite. Keep a close watch on it, put some triple antibiotic on it, if it gets worst you will need an oral antibiotic. Whatever you do, do not mess with it, will spread the infection and inflammation. Just in case you wondered

hmm. it is spreading outside the circle the hubby drew on it last night and yes, it is darker in the center. You can see where the critter bit.

what kinda spiders I got crawling in my bed? eww

Thats actually a baby Rockula bite

hahaha…

I think it looks more like a sting, than a bite. It happened Tuesday and I wasn’t outside much and I would have remembered getting stung by something…

weird!

I had a spider bite last year on my leg. It hurt alot. I also got it at night in my bed somehow shivers
I don’t like spiders.

Thanks for the link. Eeek on the spider bite!

yikes indeed. It’s still growing. I myself, am not detiriorating so thats good, right?

Got my gym time in. Also beer and batteries on the way home. My life is complete and the hurricane can come now.

I was surprised to see so many other nutty people in the gym. Are we trying to prove a point? lol

-shoulder warmers-

single arm pd- 2x8x20
regular lat pd- 2x8

Ball toss- 5 reps
KB OH press- 8 reps
Ball crunches- max
3x through–

Kb front raise- 10 reps-20lb(up 2 reps on all sets and 2 lbs) time to go up next time…yikes.
Kb oh press- max reps
Kb upright row- max reps
Side bends with bar
3x through–

Seated db lat raise- 10 reps/7.5lbs<–don’t laugh…deceptively brutal
front db raise- max reps
clean n press- max reps
leg raise with db
3x through–

Straight arm PD- 4x10
seated lat raise

Single arm PD- 3x8
reverse rear delt raise(on bench)

Precor- 2min intervals(level 20) 3x
1 min rest

I’ve taken to the 2 min variety of intervals…a little lower on the resistance of whatever I’m doing, but can increase work time which I like. I’ve also taken to training completely fasted. I take glutamine and bcaas before hand. Just too lazy to eat and not very hungry in the mornings But I have good energy and of course feel VERY hungry by the time I get home. Can’t say I’ll keep this up but would be interesting to see if I get some kind of different better results. I’m maintaining my loss this week despite having eaten some junk.

we’ll see!

The single arm lat pulldown are really cool/good for ‘feeling your lats.’

Jesus Betty! You got a lotta shit going on. Good for you for keeping it together and with such a sense of humor. Big hugzzz!!!.
That spider bite looks wicked! The hubby is so smart for drawing a circle around it! I would’ve never thought of that. Duly noted. Take care of that shit! I’d be at an infectious disease doctor in minutes. I actually went to one once b/c I thought I had rabies. Turned out to be shingles. Lol! But you can never be too cautious!

Sorry about the knees too :frowning: That sucks. But there is a way to work around it - I’m certainly trying. But I think you got it down - hit those glutes and hams!

And most importantly…

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! To my lovely, caring Virgo! You rock!!

You thought you had rabies? Were you foaming at the mouth, and realized it was just shaving cream? LOL. You crazy, masch

Hey Mimzerz, that’s great that you can train fasted like that and feel fine. Takes me WAAAY too long to get into it if I haven’t been eating all day, which is what makes AM training so hard for me (on top of having to wake up at 330 to do so, ha!)

Enjoy the beer that’s on its way, and good luck with the storm!

I’m not gonna push the fasted thing really. Honestly, it’s cause I kept forgetting to take my thyroid pill at the same time and you have to wait an hour to eat.

even when I do eat in the morning it’s not that much.

Well, I think the husband figured out the bite situation. It looks to be a tick bite…ewwwwww :frowning: :frowning:
hate those fuckers.

So now I have to get tested for lime disease…

Looks like this storm is picking up! Hoping the power stays on or its cup o noodles for all! Actually we have a camping stove with propane. We’re set…

Ah, Dr Clay’s delt triad. Yes it is nasty. I do that as part of my shoulder mobilisation, but with 2kg (4.4lb) dumbells. Just to get the blood in there. Still sucks.

And it’s your birthday? Have an awesome one!

B-day was Wed, thanks!

Actually it’s a little workout I picked up on from that indigo bootcamp a few weeks back.

I know this triad you speak of as well. Equally as tough I’d say! My leg behind the knee is starting to cramp up. fml.

Not much I can do until Monday!

Nice upper body work! As for the spider bite, if you happen to have bunch of them, sticky spider traps work great in my experience. We have an infestation of hobo spiders where I live and I’ve caught ~15 on my sticky traps in the last month. Putting them right at the side of the door, against the wall, in dark corners in closets, etc work especially well.

x2

I am not scoffing at the lat raises with the 7.5 lb. DB. Those suckers are hard. I’m also a survivor of Dr. Clay’s Shoulder Triad and that sucker BURNS.

Hope you still have power.

Power went down about 745pm…The storm got the nastiest between 10pm-1am…so it was kinda scary sitting in the dark, listening and waiting for it to be over. Power came back on about 645am…yay coffee!!!
I see blue sky and the sun is starting to come out like nothing ever happened. Lots of cleaning up to do outside!

Not sure what this bite is. Husband is fairly certain it’s a tick bite.

Its still growing, its tender and warm to the touch… I don’t have any signs of lyme disease accept I got out of bed this morning with a killer headache. He is urging me to go to the hospital anyway cause even if it’s not a tick bite that might be able to identify whatever it is. We’ll see…

How scary. I am glad we are just having unsettled weather (one minute it’s blue(ish) skies and the next, torrential rain. I guess there’s some knock-on effect from the storm system coming over the Atlantic but nothing bad.

I heard a reactor in Maryland went offline - I guess that’s why your power went down. I’ve got a friend in MD who works on oil barges and he was out on his barge during the storm.
