Betty Strong

Glad you had a great time. I think everyone needs to reconnect with nature once in a while. It looks idyllic although I wouldn’t be keen to live there in winter!

You think my tractors sexy?
Haha. No, I wasn’t driving it. Maybe some day. It was the owners. Biggest baddest tractor of all, complete with lipstick. The owner is a 60 year old farmer lady

I want to be her. But nooooo dairy farming. Beef beef beef! Problem is, is that I know nothing of the buisness. It would probably require the families help to get started and I don’t want there to be any strife, you know?

we’ll see. The hubbs has mixed feelings about settling down there for some reason. I think he’d like to pursue other things first. But who says you can’t go back home? I can see us there so clearly. When I close my eyes, thats what I imagine myself doing.

Cal- thats the only thing disconcerting about living there. I know the winters are crazy and not much of a spring either. Thats the only thing.

I’m proud to say that I didn’t junk out(much) while I was away. I mostly IF’d it(not intentionally) til 1-2pm. Ate a good lunch, dinner and even did marshmallows at night a couple times. oh and strawberry shortcake too The berries are INCREDIBLE there and I helped MIL make freezer jam
My cloths still fit so at least I think I maintained my weight. A family friend came by. We’re not close but make small talk and get to know each other more each time. She asked if I had been ‘working out.’  ya!!

Not sure what I’m doing training wise. Is it good to push it? Not sure. I called to make an appt. with my new Dr while i was away…soonest I could get in was the 11th. Kinda ridiculous if you ask me.

Oh and World gym called wondering when I wanted to use my sessions! I have a counseling appt in the morning, but plan on hitting the gym tomorrow afternoon.

Clothes fitting is good. (Mine don’t…oops).

So you want to farm beef cows? Well perhaps our resident cattle farmer might give you some tips! I’d suggest going for free range, grass fed beef, partly for humanitarian reasons, and partly because the Paleo and health conscious folks will love you for it because it’s tastier and healthier.

I’d definitely recommend you watch King Corn (documentary/movie - I saw it on TV but it’s on YouTube and I’m sure it’s downloadable from somewhere) for an insight into feedlots. I don’t think running one of those would make you happy.

YAY!! MiM!! Glad to have you back, mama!

Pics look awesome! Looks like you had a wonderful time

And I don’t think that wanting to be a farmer is weird at all - i think its awesome!! A job that requires manual labor and gets to work with cuddly wuddly and yummy animals sounds like a perfect balance between all your interests, no?

I was wondering about your IFIng - glad that went well! Clothes still fitting is def a good thing.

Don’t even talk to me about scheduling apts with doctor, ugh! I’m in apt hell! And you know how OCD I am…

Can’t wait to see what kind of training you come up with. YAY!

Oh trust me…if/when we do the farming thing we will do our best to go as organic as possible. Especially considering we’ll be eating what we grow/raise as well.

The trick I think is making sure the cows(whatever other animals) are eating the right amount to gain enough weight but not too much so that they eat themselves to death.

Did up my math for the second wave of 531. I got some work to do this morning, sheesh. Was contemplating NOT continuing on considering my health and the business of the summer. We’ll see how it goes…I’m not feeling up to pushing numbers to be honest. TBT has been whispering in my ear.

Cat woke me at 430 this morning grrrr.

welcome back Mim! The place looks beautiful. I’m yearning to get out of the city myself…

Being a cattle rancher is a fine thing, if I say so myself ;). I take it they raise dairy cows now? It all takes time, info and a willingness to learn. Keep thinkin on it and talkin to your hubby, its a great way to live but a ton of work and you are pretty tied to the place because of the critters etc.

Dude, I’m from Cleveland and go to school in Toledo.

about picking a side, yes, it is time. But, for you, it seems simple. You’re built for figure, in my eyes at least.

You aren’t “powerlifter strong”,but you can stick to a diet. That’s why I say figure. And why waste such an hourglass on a strength sport?

I think you know this though. Being caught up in too many philosophies keeps you from commiting.

You’re a figure girl with too many strength oriented friends, basically.

if that makes any sense

Over The weekend there were 8 shootings in Toledo. And a dude masturbated on a girl gas station while was was pumping gas. He walked up to her and blew a load on her then strolled away.

Find an alternate route that won’t take you through Toledo next time.

N8t- they did dairy FOREVER…

My husbands great great great(I think 3 greats, haha) Grandfather came over from Denmark to settle what is now Greenville, home of the yearly Danish Festival

Farming is what the family does and has been passed down. FIL took over after he got out of the Navy 35+ years ago and just recently retired. They sold all the cows and equipment and took all the fencing down.

Hubby planted the seed of beef farming many years ago. Stubborn family is only now coming around to the idea.

Hey CT. I didn’t see you there before!!

A figure girl? ME?!
I want to get stronger and also look good nekkid.
you change your body by progressively adding weight/reps, right? Who says bb’ers can’t be strong too?

I made it to the gym…yay!!! :celebrate: The goal was to just get there…the second goal was to just ease back in and do something. anything! Mission accomplished. Besides, my hips/back are pretty tight from sleeping in the 50 yr old bed in the cabin, lol…plus all the sitting from driving…

Did mostly chest/back
Threw in some leg stuff with kbs. Tomorrow will be my only day in the gym for the week again til next Tuesday! Going outta town again Thursday. Headed to DE to chill at the family friends Beach house.

I learned something at the gym though. They take turns with new members. The trainers are on a rotation thing. They are assigned orientations so it remains fair.(who wudda thunk??)
You can request a trainer if you are paying for sessions. A dude called while we were away wanting to set something up. meh.
Maybe if I tell him part of my goal is to look like the other lady I had in mind, he’ll know whats up

That sounds like a great trip. Those pictures are awesome. I’m a “city boy” but I would love to do the farm thing. Seems like it would be really cool and there is something awesome about the “throwback” way of doing all that stuff yourself.

Thats a pretty bad ass tractor! Having all your own meats and veggies whenever you want? AMAZING! You could also take the tire off that tractor and flip it around whenever you want. I’m so jelly.

Whats the “R” tattoo for? Rated “R”? hahaha

Welcome back! The post-vacation let-down is always hard, but you’ve got that figured out with yet another vacation. Nice!

I’ve got nothing for you on farming. A child of the suburbs, I am.

You look damn hot in a tractor.

Nothing to laugh about. I often fantasize about living on a farm. Would be lovely to just go out get fresh eggs from Plucky, get some fresh milk from Betsy, while shoveling Stampy’s shit after we jumped over a few rivers on a newly discovered trail.

Glad you had a good time away.[/quote]

x2 on the tractor.

Damn Milfkins… YOU A TOTAL FUCKING BADASS.

I love the picture modification by Hallowed. I agree 100%.

Welcome back!
Glad you enjoyed your time off. Beef ranching (or is it farming? not sure) sounds awesome. It would be nice to have the option of “oh, out of steak, guess we can just take care of that!” and instantly have another 200lbs of beef. lol.

Rock, why the hell would you do that IN A GAS STATION? Damn man, that’s fucked up.

HI MIM!!

That picture of you standing by the tractor is the definition of badass. Also, we can all see why your husband was crazy about the bikini idea  Looking awesome!

you all are just awesomely silly!!

(I wasn’t driving the tractor!!!, lol)

who knows what the future holds. I’ve been thinking a lot about it lately. I don’t want to settle or get stuck in a dead end job. I want to do what I want to do. It’s just that I don’t know what that is exactly just yet.

I like the medical field, but it’s just an interest. Like some people are interested in computers? But they don’t make careers out of it.

I’ve always wanted to help people in some way… figuring out how is the hard part.

Here’s some things I wanted to ‘be when I grew up.’

An equine Vet
An author
A tennis pro
A cello-ist
A nurse

I can look for work as a ranch hand. volunteer with habitat for humanity. Write a book on the side for fun, take cello lessons, play tennis on the weekends and tend to our hugemungous garden.

And the man wants to be a Sheriff. There it’s settled!

Would be nice to keep the farm in the family though.
