Got here just before 7 am yesterday morning. A week wasn’t nearly enough and coming back to this dump is a bit depressing.
Previous times we’ve visited I was ready to leave after just a couple days…but thats because I was left with the kids while the Man was off helping his Dad farm, etc. Not this time!
I started most mornings with a walk up the lane and back(about 2.5 miles) I even did some push ups one time after(34~) and threw in some sprints on one day.
The break was nice and much needed to get away from everything. I didn’t miss TV, but if we lived somewhere like that one day I’d most definitely want internet! We might actually give up tv to cut back on more bills, but we’ll see. It’s never too late.
Mostly we just hung out doing a whole lot of nothing. If we had another week, we would have gone to MI adventure and the lake.
OH! And CBEAR! We take the turnpike through PA and OH. It takes us by Cleveland and Toledo. Anywhere near you?? It was about 6am when we made it up to Toledo.
And GREG!!! There was a ‘PLANK ROAD.’ I tried to get a picture but thought of you, haha!
No moon lit strolls. It doesn’t even get dark there til after 10pm, lol. But we did go on a couple dates to get tattoos.
“DOWNTOWN,” Greenville has a tattoo place now and I thought that was a RIOT and we HAD to get some ink there. They are doing very well for themselves. The town needs a little bit of that I think. The new generation of farmers kids are so rebellious, lol.
Made me think a lot about the future and where I am right now on that path. I feel a strong connection to the farm lands and I think I want to be a farmer when I grow up. Don’t laugh! lol
I feel closer to the Man just being around all the places he grew up. I want my kids to have that sense of family. I certainly didn’t have that. It could be a reality one day. His grandparents home+land is promised to him after they pass. It would be our way of keeping the farming in the family. Accept not dairy, but beef farming. And a whole slew of veggies and fruits at my despense of course!!!
Theres more I wanted to say but I gotta get ready and take Julia for a check up. I just love driving up to DC(rolling eyes)
I’ve missed you all and will be catching up later!! I’ve missed the gym but the break was good.
so glad to hear that you had a nice break and got to have some quality family time. not laughing about the farming idea. it sounds great to me too, actually. hard work, obviously, but outdoorsy doing something work that could be really rewarding.
Nothing to laugh about. I often fantasize about living on a farm. Would be lovely to just go out get fresh eggs from Plucky, get some fresh milk from Betsy, while shoveling Stampy’s shit after we jumped over a few rivers on a newly discovered trail.

Also being your own boss can be pretty sweet too.
I would like to see the tattoo when it is not so fresh, they always look so painful when fresh.
Are you driving a tractor in that pic? I attempted to learn how to do that a few weeks ago. Its really weird for someone who has never driven anything other than a car with an automatic transmission.
