Betty Strong

Congrats on finding a new training space! Should lead to lots of new PRs!

It IS going to be awesome!!

I made it out for a 30 min walk before dinner. It’s nice to be able to do that again!

I’m not overdoing it with the foods at all. My mindset is totally different as opposed to the other times hubby has returned from deployment and I chow down on all the junk I felt deprived of.

Nope, not this time!!

I’m still going to log my foods though, because it helps!

And btw, that 178 was short lived. I had a free meal on Sunday complete with an adult beverage
And shot up 4lbs…geez.

It’s cool to know that I can make progress with higher calories…yay! So it’s been a month…and I lost 4 lbs. Gained 1.5 inches on my butt, but lost a couple inches total here and there. I’m wondering if I should:

A) keep things the same.
B) bump the cardio/intensity in gym and cals up
C) or keep cals the same and bump cardio/intensity up

WHAT SAY YOU???

I’d really love to see my old fighting weight by my birthday which is 169-172 >WITHOUT< strict hard dieting…AND getting stronger…which I am.

ew, I have a girl appt this morning. I don’t think I’ve been since my post partum check up with Julia. fml I suck at going to doctors. I had a dream they found bad cells in my boobs?? weird. :frowning:

But they are also going to do a full work up I think. Including the thyroid stuffs.

Hoping to make it to the gym after so that I can play with the new toys!!

^For our resident pinup.

The new gym sounds just a little bit WONDERFUL!

Good luck at the Dr. apt. You just have to do this stuff. And at least you’re not 40…SQUISH SQUISH.

I hate the doc too. Glad you’re going.
Even gladder you found a new gym. Sounds like a great fresh start.

you are indeed the resident pinup!!

good luck at the hoo-hoo dr :{

cold hands!!

That new gym sounds awesome - for a great price too!

Lucky you didn’t hit a stud in your wall!
I did some good damage to my hand when I hurt my knee. I was so angry that I blew out my knee that I punched the floor a couple of times hard. I couldn’t grab things well for a few months. I’ve never had that side of me come out at home though - only in competitive sporting situations.

I hope it goes well working through everything. It takes a strong person to seek help and I’m sure you will be stronger for it when you work through it all.

As for your intensity/cals question - if you feel you have more energy to increase the intensity, go for C but if you feel you need more fuel to keep up the increased intensity. That’s my vote anyway.

The new gym sounds fun!

YAY! for the Worlds Gym. It does sound awesome, and like the perfect fit for you! RAWR!

Doctors. Meh. Speculums. EW!

Well…you know me, I say keep the cals the same, up the intensity and/or cardio and dominate! All in a days work

Doctors are the worst! I had an appointment yesterday, checked in and they told me “we’re running about anhour behind” WTF!?!? what’s the point of an “appointment” when you still have to sit there and wait for 1:30 just to be seen! Argggg!!! Hahaha

MiM… Are you going to be following the iG3 logs for biotests new supp? Have you read up about it? If it really works like they say it does (fixing the way your body handles Carbs or something) it could be a great product that you might like. Just a thought…

Let us all know how the training session with the new gym toys goes.

Adult beverage you say? What is your adult beverage of choice Mimsy?

I REALLY HATE TO PUBLICLY NAG YOU (haha ok I don’t hate it)
but can you please please please do some follow up on your thyroid? I want you to get your TSF FREE T3, and FREE T4 checked at a minimum then send me the results WITH THE LAB RANGES.

Not having a good anger management day.
Came home from the dr. and wigged out on my old man for no real reason…and then he wigged out on me and ‘went out on a walk.’ And then I proceeded to slam the chair(a lot) and punch on the wall…I hurt my elbow and fucekd up the outer meaty portion of my fist this time.

I feel like a crazy person. I even said at the beginning of all this, that I would either end up with the patience of a saint or in a mental institution.

I called to seek counseling and will probably have my first appt next week. I made it this far…

The doctor visit was ok…
I also got some blood drawn for my thyroid and it was discovered that my actual thyroid felt swollen…in case you don’t know its a butterfly shaped thing on the front of your neck. Of course they are only going to test the most basic ones. But at least it’s a start??

And I’m like, oh fml.

Thinkin about putting myself back on the nicotine patch or starting smoking again to take the edge off. Called to make an appt with my PCM and next available isn’t til June 16th…tried to get some patches prescribed.those things are expensive!!

Thanks for all the lovin..

<3 <3 <3

I don’t really have a favorite drink…I’m not much of a drinker tbh. I do love a rum and coke though! Or some Parrot Bay…if I had to choose

Did some bike tabata and now we are off to chinese buffet! Will catch up with you all later gators!

DO NOT START SMOKING!! Mimsy…you know how hard it is to stop…

Hang in there, mama!

I only smoke when I drink. I suggest you don’t start smoking again, go to Holy Hour and you’ll soon have found that you are calm when you should be calm.

congrats on the gym, sounds like a wonderful find!

punching walls and wishing your kids would go away is not normal?

i think it is normal to feel frustrated sometimes. normal to wish stress away, too, and want some alone time.

fairly recent quitting of smoking…
disturbed sleep…
finally not needing to hold it all together all by yourself just that little bit longer…

i don’t think it is so very abnormal or surprising that things are coming to a bit of a head for you now, that hubbie is home and a little bit of the pressure to keep soldiering on alone is off.

i’m not sure about the punching walls thing, though :frowning: can you tire flip instead? or get / make a punch bag if you really wanna punch?

the counseling sounds like a good idea. it is pretty normal these days. hopefully you guys can get to communicate better and negotiate stuff so both of you get to feel a bit less frazzled.

hang in there.

Maybe you’re CRAAAAAAAZZZZZYYYYYYYYYY

I think you’re CRAAAAAAZZZZZZZYYYYYYYYY

LOLZ

I do remember you making funneh of of mood swings…

so HAH <3

Well…

New gym sounds great. No more silly shit or trying to be friendly for no real reason

Good luck with the medical stuff.

And the anger management/counseling.

I vote for no diet, high intensity for your plan of action. You can hit 170ish with that approach. You got it!
