As to the other thing … Everyone ( and I mean EVERYONE) I’ve ever known who started out as a waitress at a strip club ended up on the pole … The money is too good, the general atmosphere is awful (rec drug use, alcohol, etc) , and women tend to get sucked in before they realize what’s happened.

I used to watch ball games with friends at a local Hooters … The scenario became a running joke : young, pretty girl starts waiting tables at hooters … Within 3 months she’s been “recruited” to a large strip club nearby to “cocktail” waitress … 3 months after that, she sees how much cash her new “friends” are making (and of course they encourage her) and decides to start dancing … 6 months after that she’s coked out of her gourd and open to just about anything for the right price.

I’m not saying you re anywhere near that naive or impressionable, but it’s a pretty shitty group of people to hang around … Bound to have an effect over time …
Yeah there’s no way I’m interested in getting involved in the seedy nightlife around here. Looking more for action in the sense of fights etc. I spent alot of money on law enforcement pre-service training, maybe I try part time police work or something. I’m looking to increase my bank without increasing my stress.
As a former LEO, let me say its not all kicking ass and taking names anymore … EVERYONE is filming EVERYTHING all the time … Good chance to get sued, fired, incarcerated … Or at the very least embarrassed via YouTube

Maybe contract killing? … Sounds exciting, money’s probably good
I’m actually a superb negotiator. To clarify, I didn’t intend to be in the middle of the action to use my fists.

I’m a…smooth operator.
Cue the Sade music … Lol

That’s all well and good until you are dealing with animals high on drugs/ beyond drunk / completely insane … They don’t always respond to rational, calm discussion

this is true, i dealt with it in EMS. Probably more stress than the money is worth.

This is a little different, but, with your LEO/MMA training…If there is a PROFESSIONAL, and I stress the word PROFESSIONAL, bail bondsman in your area, you could check into hunting down “skips” and other wanted perps. You can usually set your own hours. Make sure they offer you a percentage of the bail. A lot of times they use females to pick up other females. Caution: it is not easy money and can be dangerous, but, for part time, pays good in metro areas. I am not sure if you live in a large city or not. Better than strip clubs. just a thought.

Thanks, I’ll look into the bail bondsmen thing.

8-24 and 8-25: 50 pullups (, 100 pushups and 10 squat lunges.

Work was stressful and busy all weekend so instead of sprinting or doing stairs after work I chilled. Tonight will be the same. Tomorrow no training - white water rafting all day instead. Tuesday no training either, hauling bear baits out in the woods all morning then classes start ( 6 hours worth) in the afternoon.

Maybe I don’t have time for a second job. Besides, I’d like to spend the little time I have on training goals.

Jealous of the rafting trip. I feel the school pain. First M2 test is the day after Labor Day.

Also not sure how much class you have/studying needed but it seems if you combine that with your daughter, hobbies, and lifting your scheudle looks damn full

Ryan: I’ve never been big on studying but whatever I need to do, I squeeze it in at work. Since I work 12 hours at a desk job this isn’t too difficult usually. And now that my daughter is in school I can study some mornings. Where learning is concerned, I always have gotten away with just paying really good attention in class.

8-27
Rafting was awesome - great group of people and beautiful scenery. And of course, shenanigans. After eating really bad and too much alcohol it’s time to clean up and get my head back in the game. No bear hunting today.

Pullups: 10x6.
Pushups: 5x20
Dips: 4x12
Deadlift:
155x10
165x10
2x 175x8
3x 185x5
155x10.

20 min of sprint intervals on bike and stepmill.

School starts today. 6 hours worth of sitting in class going stir crazy.

And the wimminz wonder why us menz are all jaded and stuff.

Good grief. It will take me an hour to figure out how to take a selfie of my butt. Give me some incentive?

A pic of you’er bunz gets a pic of my bunz. FYI the ladies call me the great white donk. You wont be disappointed.

Most certainly. Just remember more pics are always better
Those hill sprints are working wonders

Looks like its about time to follow this thread.

TB, I notice that you do 5x10 of pullups on every training day, I’m curious to see how that has affected your other training? Does it interfere at all? Have you gotten any shoulder pain or anything similar? I want to do pullups everyday but am concerned about injury/interference

When I started doing pullups I used regular grip and that’s when I separated my shoulder. It was awful. And yes, I developed elbow issues as well. And I wasn’t even doing the volume I am now. I switched to neutral grip on the bars at the gym and at home I use gymnast rings. The gymnast rings are a bit more challenging than stationary bars. I do wide grip on occasion but don’t count it into my overall volume. The volume doesn’t interfere with my other training. If Cirque du Soleil athletes can train their routine every day and still look like the huge shredded beasts they are then doing pullups every day isn’t an issue. The body adapts and grows to accommodate.

well said. I have been hearing about using rings for pullups being easier on the wrists also, I’m going to look into getting some. keep up the great work! It’s inspiring to see someone balance life and training so well

As you would say.

My training partner has been doing over 100 pullups a day for months now non-stop (I think he makes sure to hit 1000 per week). He is ripped and his powerlifts are improving including a 615 deadlift @ 181. So you’re totally right, pullups don’t interfere with anything lol.

Yes! Good looking bunz there.
