I am on a cut and leaning out but my lower body seems to want to hold onto weight… is there anyway I can speed up the lower bodys fatloss? heres some pic so you know what Im talking about.
What’s your diet like? Especially carbs-wise.
Taking a lot of fish oil?

Often, lower abdomen fat is the toughest to shift. You can’t ‘tell your body’ where to lose fat, generally it will come off pretty evenly. This said, if you’ve got more fat to lose in a specific area, that’ll be the last place for it to go. Don’t sweat it mate, keep plugging away on the fat loss program.
I myself still have a little ‘mini belly’ bit, even at around 10% body fat. That fucker is a nightmare to shift, but will go if you keep at it. Some lucky sods can have a full set of abs at 12-14% (like Thib I hear), others need to go as low as 8%. You might have to sacrifice a bit of muscle to get below 10% To be honest, I still don’t look ‘proper ripped’ at sub 10% - still can pinch a little on my lower abs. I just live with it, everyone is different. I still look awesome, ( even at a light 170lbs when low BF) compared to 95% of people out there. I’ll never be a monster or a cover model, but I’m strong for my weight and fit as a butchers dog.
Keep your chin up n keep going.
That sound fair enough coach Thib?

You prolly mean your lower abdomen fat right?
Its not holding onto weight, you just have lots of fat overall to cut before you get to a point where you worry about you’r “lower” abdomen fat.

Yeah I agree…I just tried to be a little more subtle about it. More of a body composition than a cut I’d say. Everyone has to start somewhere. It’s all about the diet n liftin those heavy weights.
lol well thanks for being nice.
I take 2g of fish oil per day. My diet atm is about 1800cal and I try and stay away from carbs most of the time. most of my meals wont have any carbs… i.e chicken breast w/o bun. So I usaually eat 4 meals and only one has significant carbs.
and as to “lots of fat” I didnt think I had that much to lose… according to tape measure “I know not that accurate” Im at like 14% which would mean like 20 lbs total fat on me…
im 5’9 and just weighed myself this mourning at 173.
I have some back definition coming in… and my legs have quad definition I take it to mean that if I have definition that my fat isnt that high… regardless of how much fat I have to lose my point was that it was mainly in lower abs/lower back area…and if there was anything I could do to help that area along.
btw whats the differnce between a body comp and a cut?

I am not trying to be rude, just realistic. Judging by your pictures you are more then 14% BF and only way to find out how much LMB you actualy have is to diet down to a low body fat and dont bother your self with silly questions like you stated in first post.
ok, I understand your not trying to be rude. thats fine and regardless of what anyone stated I was gonna continue to diet down… I just had a question about lower back/lower ab fat.
I mentioned in the post that I use tape measure method as a rough guesstimate. what would you guess my % at?

The lower back/ab fat is the one that will go down last and hard and mostly on one digit %'s so you have some work ahead of you.
