I bought all three pairs. Played some basketball in the “Powers” today. I don’t see any reason why they wouldn’t be good for squatting in it. Stable, ankle support, flat sole, and desinged for vertical jump training.
Those soles look anything but flat to me.

i like five fingers. the grip/connection to the floor is even better than barefoot. adidas sambas are good too.

I was thinking about my university’s gym.

The power racks have laminated wood flooring, like a basketball court. The actual floor is some sort of textured linoleum-like material. I wouldn’t be comfortable with wet feet on either.

Now that you bring it up, those seem like particularly poor flooring choices, on concrete, slippage isn’t really an issue. One more reason I’ll be happy to have a power rack in my garage.

BTW, nice avatar. I love that show.

It actually sounds like you university has a nice gym. The wood flooring is for oly lifts.
There’s not enough flooring to do Oly lifts on, I don’t think. It’s only a 5’x5’ platform, so there’s no way to keep the bar at the correct height without piling bumper plates on each side of the power rack.

This is what I am picturing. And if you have bumper plates, thats really cool.

It’s more like this:

except it doesn’t have the platform in front, just inside the rack itself so that you’re elevated about 3-4" above the gym floor when you’re standing in the rack. Of course, it’s not wide enough at any point for a barbell, necessitating the stacks of plates.

bare feet.
