Best Place To Hit Someone

Throat punching is a bad idea unless you have no way out of a really bad situation. For most people, it is not a good idea to have maiming and killing techniques as part of your primary game plan.

One of the most one sided fights I have ever seen was a kid who had karate training who used to tell me about how he would handle a fight. He would say he was going to kick out the knee, gouge out the eyes, punch in the throat and all these nasty, viscious things if he got into a fight.

One day he did get into a real fight, right in front of me. The other guy worked this kid over without him throwing as much as one punch.

The reason why the kid didn’t defend himself was his whole game plan relied upon techniques that he really didn’t want to use.

There are a lot of people who will say they would maim or kill someone without thinking about it, but when the time comes they don’t have the neccessary background to follow through.

True, no one wants to be stabbing people’s eyes out really, not because you don’t want to be too dangerous, b ut imagine in case you miss and the guy does the same thing to you since he is exremely pissed off you just wanted to take out his eye!

Or maybe people just prefer to get beaten up once instead of spending 10 years in prison for aggravated assault, getting raped by their cell mate “MoMo”.

That’s a great example.

It takes alot to seriously maim another human in a gruesome way like that… not everyone has the stomach.

I’ve never gone into a fight with the thought like that- my first thought it always strike, but never for the eyes or vitals. I don’t know that I could unless my life was in danger, i.e. in a battelfield in the Army or something, where I had been steeled to that a little bit.

One of the things that tripped my friend was his teacher had used a teaching style know as programming. He would tell me if someone does X with me I am going to… and he would rattle off a half dozen moves all more saddistic than the last.

What happened is he realized that kicking someones knee out was overkill for merely getting socked in the face. It interupted his program and he just stood there having a massive brain fart.

You should not have preconcieved ideas of what you are going to do in a fight you should just respond to whatever is happening at the moment.

In the wallet.

Nothing will make you drop like shit from a cows ass like a liver shot. No joke, I do mma fighting and I have been punched really hard there. Worst pain ever. Realistically…the throat and open mouth jaw work really nice as well.

Good posts Sifu (both of them).

This kid also isn’t talking about “what do I do if I find myself in a dark alley with my kids and I’m assailed by multiple weapon wielding pedophiles?” He’s talking about “hey if I pick a fight with someone over something stupid, where should I hit them if I want to look cool for the other kids watching.”

The idea of preconceived answers to preconceived questions (defense to attacks) is a bad idea as well. All that does is cause you to split your focus and cause a duality which will screw you up. As Joe Lewis says, “there is only 1 reality in the fight game, immediate reality.” Any time you start planning out your defenses to techniques that haven’t even been thrown yet you’re setting yourself up.

Our corrections officers motto: Always Cheat, Always Win

throat, balls, eyes, kidneys, liver, solar plexus,

I am not going to read through 130 posts so sorry if this has been said, but the best place to hit someone is a place with no CCTV and no witnesses

Yeah, that way when he pulls out the Beretta and hits in the chest, you’ll spend your last seconds on earth crying for help and coughing up blood with the assurance that no one can see what a pointless and pathetic death you had.

the question is ‘best place to hit someone’

not ‘worst place to get shot’

Don’t be such an ass

I bet half the dudes in this thread, close their fists when their fighting lol.

It doesn’t matter what knuckles you use. Keep yoru hand open and close it on impact.

The force of closing your hands, and whatever knuckles hit amplifies that damage incredibly.

How many fights have you been in? Better yet,how many fights have you seen were people don’t close their fists??? If your hand is open…you’ll be better off using an open hand strike or elbows.

Its natural to make a fist. In fact, that brings up another point…just think of someone who has trained years and years in ANY form of self defense or martial art. Lets say that person is a bad ass in sparring, training, etc.

Said person has never been in a fight…at least in uncontrolled environment. Its a late night and he gets in a confrontation outside an adult movie shop(of all the places…why!) and in that instant he forgets every damn thing he’s ever learned and human habit, instinct,or whatever the fuck you wanna call it kicks in.

He makes a fist…beats the shit out of the dude…fight lasts maybe 30 seconds. Adrenaline wears off…then you realize that you’ve broken your fucking left hand and big toe…but don’t even remember what the fuck you did. Anyways, enough of my cough best friends story.

The point(I know, finally) is that you don’t know what the fuck you’ll do in a situation…especially when you don’t have the mental for it…and trust me,you’ll never be as prepared as you think.

So true.

The first time I got in a real street fight my arse completely dropped out. I’d been training traditional jujitsu for a year or so and was starting to fancy myself as someone who could handle them self. I was wrong. I let him hit me in the nose twice before i even fought back. Lucky he was a fanny and I only suffered a bloody nose. After the second punch my instinct was just to throw an absolute right hand haymaker that I think landed on his cheekbone.

I think I followed up with a straight left then another right that obviously weren’t that hard as we tied up. We tussled and I’m pretty sure i landed a sweet elbow before it was broken up. I was shitting my pants to be honest and was glad people intervened.

I think you’ve got to be so careful with fighting in the street. Best to avoid it as best you can. Someone gets caught on the chin and their head is cracking on the concrete, and that is so so dangerous.

Use your elbow strike!

Poke them in the eye, pick the eye out and eat it.

Or on a more serious note: Uppercut to the jaw. K.O. See you later.

A couple of weeks ago, someone who i know hit this fella with a right hook into the temple…he died 6 days later.

Now just from that one punch ‘wainberg’ (the man) will probably get a 8 year sentance.

Sh!t Happens…

if you have no moral value and dont mind going to prison for homocide along with other charges, then id say the lower back of the head, just above the neck.
