Best Gloves For Deadlifting

Anyone know of any website that sells quality gloves/lifting straps made for deadlifting?

Thanks,Cthulhu

I always found gloves get in the way, but chalk on the other hand works great!

I even reduced my calluses when I started using more chalk, I didn’t have to squeeze the bejeezus out of the bar, it just stuck to my hands better.

If you’re still interested in straps APT makes good ones:

You don’t need gloves or straps. Use chalk.

If you need glove, I suggest making gloves from a T-Nation member that deadlifts more then you, and isn’t a vagina.

This is a tricky situation though, if you are going to take on this task that means you will immediately be going up against someone bigger, stronger, faster, and smarter then you.

good luck!

(use chalk)

I’ve always used gloves because I couldn’t find chalk or straps,or maybe just never looked into it.
Where do you guys buy your chalk from?
I just need something thats not shitty(like gloves) that always end up wearing down on me.
Especially sinc’e I’ve been doing more powerlifting lately.

Thanks

Chalk brand gloves work great, they are only about $2 they come in a nice fashionable white. The best part if you challenge some one to a duel to the death it is much cooler to throw chalk at them then smack them with gloves like some sissy.

IMO Chalk is best and cheaper than going through gloves all the time… Go with chalk or try spray on chalk (available online)

Ditch the gloves (you’re already getting flamed :p)

since i started training wit tehse bad boys…my deadlift went up +50 pounds…

Plus, all teh ladies dig my style…

Not to pour on or anything, but it’s not really a deadlift if you’re using straps. If your hands can’t pull the weight, then you can’t pull the weight. Same goes for gloves.

You can get chalk at IronMind.com. You can also get a lot of other gear there that is guaranteed to make you a badass.

i use gloves because i can’t afford to get chalk all over the gym, or all over my room/garage

i use a pair of CENTURY gloves from sports authority. they work just fine for me. but what the hell do i know…

Overkill guys. The OP is not a newbie. Turn the flamethrower down a bit. There are perfectly rational reasons to use gloves or straps. A lot of commercial gyms won’t let you use chalk, for example.

Ronnie Coleman deadlifts with gloves.

Gloves always hindered my grip. Use chalk and keep your grip strength up.

everybody wants to to get big, but dont nobody wanna lift no heavy ass weights…

i apologize if i didnt get that word for word.

i personally dont like gloves, but i have been chalking it up for shruggs lately. but my gym doesnt mind chalk, theyve got it in a bucket on the floor. i would imagine chalk could be found on any powerlifting website that sells stuff. does i think elitefts.com sells stuff dont they? i would imagine it probably comes in sort of a brick shape/form. carry it in a little tupperware container to the gym, leave it in your bag or whatever. if you train at home throw the brink in a bucket and youre set.
i like chalk.

Get some liquid chalk.

And I can understand the use of gloves. My calloses make it hurt when I rub one out.

Just a price to pay.

I have been very happy using liquid chalk called dry hands. A little goes a long way.

Here’s a link.

I used gloves for a couple of years. One day, I forgot to bring them with me to the gym and I was able to crank out a couple extra reps on my deads and the dumbells felt more secure when I was pressing them. I haven’t gone back to them since.

That’s because the gloves act like a fat bar. Putting extra girth into the bar.

Getting flamed for using gloves?Like I give a fuck.
I deadlift more than the guys in my gym who use chalk.
Just because you use chalk means nothing(yeah, fuck you walmart!!!).
I’ve been using them and shitty straps since I was 15 and lifting.
I just need some better quality straps or chalk.Thats all.

Anyway,I think I’ll go with chalk.
If that doesn’t work, then I’ll use the pink oven gloves above.
