I am just getting back to benching due to shoulder injury. I can go pretty heavy if I bench press with the pinky higher that the thumb almost pinky first with dumb bells. I know I am working the Triceps, but am I over working the triceps?
You tell us how do they feel are they healing, are you progressing??
Yes I feel it is healing. When I first injured my shoulder I could not sleep with my arm over my head. Now I can, I could not pick up anything with substantial weight using a reverse grip curl into the beginning of a shoulder press , Now I can ,not quite as good as my left but I am gaining fast . I want to get back to my chest, I have not ignored it but it is in need of serious work. I started out my rehab with push ups. And now I feel I could do them in my sleep. But I still have to use very strict form. I still can aggravate it. I moved a lot of gravel and the shoveling did it no good but I am done with that now.
my science teacher who i do bench with had a should injury in college which i have to hear him complain about all the time. wears a bench shirt thats not tight and honestly gives him like no extra strength since he maxed out the same raw but he swears that his shoulder feel a lot safer with a lose cheap bench shirt and well he hasnt had any shoulder problem since hes got it
and he benches more then twice his body weight at age 38 which isnt bad in my books
