Bench Till You Bleed

Has anyone heard of Krocs raw max? I know he’s an equipped lifter but I’d be interested to see his raw lifts if anyone has noticed it in his training logs or something.
750’s no joke. christ he’s a beast

I seem to remember him posting about using 405 on a “light day” if that gives you any idea.

There is very little blood involved…if any. Maybe a trickle. I’m not going to discuss my use on this thread, but let me say there is little to no correlation. Not to mention there are plenty of oral’s worth doing.

I think its a safe assumption that if nosebleeds make you squeamish, then needles may cause similar issues for you.
Lol…again I’m not going to be direct about my personal use, but let’s say that A) there is little to no correlation and B) Most people who inject their first time, even every time, are apprehensive and are grossed out, but do it anyway.

nvm answered my own question, no clear weight but he hit 505 raw in 06 so…

On my forehead every leg day. If I really push for reps I get it on my cheeks as well. For a while I was training shoulders with back and I thought I might get it from that stupidity… but just legs.

You might wanna try breathing!
I mostly work higher reps on legs. I’m a leg press sissy these days. But by the last couple of reps I might grab 5 or 6 breathes between reps.

Dude, you posted it up in the steroids section already, too late for not being direct.

All I’m saying is that its a pretty easy assumption that someone who is so squeamish that they cant handle seeing a nosebleed is probably too squeamish to deal with injecting themselves regularly. No need to get so defensive, chill out.

If I wanted to give you shit about something, it would have been about doing the V-Diet while on…or even just doing the V-Diet in general.

Why would you give shit to anyone doing the V-Diet?..specially someone who obviously knows what he’s doing in the weight room?

All I am going to say is that you have much to learn.

I’m not going into that any farther since that tends to get threads deleted.

I have been posting on here for a little over a year and I certainly know all the bullshit and cat fighting that this site when through for a few weeks. but that’s not what I’m talking about at all.

Once again why would you give “shit” to anyone doing the V-Diet? . It takes dedication, hard work, commitment e.t.c… so I don’t understand why someone would get shit for that.

Wiping your ass with a cactus takes dedication, hard work, and commitment; that doesn’t mean it’s necessarily a worthwhile or smart endeavor. I’m with Stronghold, that’s all I’m gonna say…

Who are you, me or anyone to tell someone doing the V-Diet isn’t “necessarily a worthwhile or smart endeavor”?

The Velocity diet is extreme and I can understand how I’d get shit for it, especially in the strength sports section. But, that’s ok…if they have followed my log, they know I have doubts about the diet FOR ME, in MY position. But the V-Diet itself is not bad for all people. It’s a means to get somewhere. It isn’t all needed though. I’m positive that most if not all accomplished bb’ers have become conditioned with whole food and not the V-Diet, but it can be done with the V-Diet. And it’s a safe assumption that I might be the only one who competes in powerlifting on this board who has attempted it. And, have had serious doubts as if it’s for me and that is why I modified it.

Also stronghold, I’m not using anything right now. On the V-Diet or off. Right now.

And I won’t apologize for my reaction to the original post by buckeyegirl. I still feel it was an offhand comment, and just had no belonging in this thread, or in this section period. I have never exchanged a PM with this girl, nor responded to any of her posts or her to mine, so it just didn’t belong.

You post information on an open forum, expect it to come back to you at some point on that forum.

If I posted in a thread and said that my diet consists mainly of twinkies and pork rinds, would it be out of line for someone to bring that up in a later thread where I talked about how I couldn’t lose weight even though they had never communicated with me before?

Now aren’t you missing the major point? That would be a comment that was applicable to the issue. Me commenting on a vid of kroc bleeding and saying I wouldn’t want that to happen to me, and getting a comment “WELL DONT DO AAS, STICK TO THE V-DIET” it just doesn’t apply. Like I said…it is an OFFHAND comment, and smart ass one at that. For comments like that…I feel it is just more formal if you know the person enough, on the forum at least to make such OFFHAND comments.

If you posted your diet and it sucked…and then posted another thread saying you can’t lose weight. It wouldn’t be offhand for me to point out the problems in your diet would it? That would be applicable to the subject…

That was awesome! i look forward to the day i can strain hard enough to bleed… i’ve seen it in a few squat videos, but this is the first time i’ve ever seen it in bench. You know you’re training hard when that happens!

You might want to rethink the AAS thing and just stick with the V-Diet then.

This is an odd post…for a few reasons.

 1. You have never spoken to me, through forum…pm or otherwise…so bringing up the AAS is just…inappropriate…especially in this thread…It’s kind of strange to me, that you would lurk my posts however never respond to any of them. Weird.

 2. Again…don’t bring up AAS use having to do with me unless it is in the steroid thread or through pm.

 3. I don’t really see the correlation between: “this makes me sick, blood fucks me up” and "rethink steroids and keep v-dieting. I fail to see the correlation…are you implying that matt kroc uses and that’s why he bleeds? I’m not surprised he uses…however, I doubt hes overly vocal about it, and I’m pretty sure he never told you personally, but if he has correct me.

If that is indeed the correlation: Steroids + Heavy Sets = Nose bleeds etc. You have a point, in terms of AAS raising blood pressure, therefore increasing the chances of this happening…but I’m also sure this has happened to plenty of people who were clean. If the correlation some how implies that I’m a pussy because I don’t like blood, therefore pussies shouldn’t use…well that’s just a ridiculous implication. I won’t even go there, as I’m pretty sure you aren’t stupid enough to make that comment.
You made comments in the Steroid forum threads that I was following, and had even posted in, about both your interest in using and your experience with the V-Diet. It didn’t require any lurking for me to put those two things together.

If you can’t handle blood, how are you going to inject yourself? Just because you aspirate and make sure you aren’t injecting into a vein, doesn’t mean you cant hit something on the way out. And if, by chance, you do manage to inject, what if your BP is affected to the point that you do blow out a blood vessel when you’re lifting?

I didn’t realize that there was ever any question about whether or not Kroc uses. Its obviously the super-crea-vol-ackik-maize that got him jackt.

And finally, I don’t know of any top level powerlifters that would even think of going on an all liquid diet for a month.

Again…it was an offhand comment. It just had no belonging in this thread. It was meant to be a smart ass comment. I haven’t seen any response by you to me in any of those threads as far as my use goes, and my V-Diet. You just said you were “following” them…in other words lurking them. Your ignorance bleeds out all over this post.

 1. Blood/injecting don’t go hand in hand. There is a difference between some blood from a needle hole, even if you nick a vessel. And shooting blood out of your nose is a little alarming. I’d be concerned with my BP…that’s just me. If you have been following about my use, you would know I have injected before (it just happened to be bunk)…so apparently again…you exude ignorance in THAT regard.

 2. Wow…JUST WOW on that comment. You didn’t know if there was ever any question about whether Kroc used or not? And then shit attempt at a sarcasm based joke: “Its obviously the super-crea-vol-ackik-maize that got him jackt.” What point are you trying to make…hes jacked because hes juiced? No hes jacked because he’s one of the hardest workers in the sport, has good genetics, eats a lot, and on top of it PROBABLY has used(if not definitely…but again he has never told me that personally and I haven’t read him saying it in an interview so I won’t say for sure). But I find that statement pretty ignorant, and fits pretty well into the norm in gyms across the country and meets: If someones REALLY big and strong, he must be juiced. What a bunch of bullshit.

 3. You might be right, in fact hell, you are probably teetering on 99% with that statement. But then again, how many “TOP POWERLIFTERS” do you really know, truthfully? Now, rest assured these guys aren’t going on the V-Diet, however take the guy this thread is about: Kroc. He’s known for pretty drastic weight cuts. Whether it be the vdiet or not, it is still extreme.

In regards to me, I’m not a top level powerlifter…therefore again that statement is moot and doesn’t apply to me, like much of your other statements. I don’t know what you are trying to imply with that point really…again like most of your other points. You must be implying in someway that I’m retarded, or a bad powerlifter because I attempted to do the Velocity diet?

I dunno really…powerlifting is not my only goal. If powerlifting was my only goal in terms of weight training, I wouldn’t be considering AAS and I wouldn’t have attempted to v-diet. Obviously, there are aesthetic implications involved and my teammates understand that.
