alcohol can affect lipolysis and protein synthesis, although a small amount would probably be negligible. I do not see alcohol as being beneficial to a bulk, i would try to go for an abundance of quality calories with the occasional cheat meal.
The calories in beer would do next to nothing for muscle mass and depending on the quantity hurt your progress. If your implying on having a gallon of beer a day to help bulk, don’t expect muscle weight.
Yea and Arnold was always trying to psych out the competition…
He used to do almost nothing in the gym with people he knew saying that he did not need to workout hard, but after they would leave he would train like a beast alone…
Any way Beer=Beer belly not muscle belly…
Just eat jelly belly beans for your post workout insulin spike while your at it…
I’m sorry but I couldnt resist laughing at the name of the thread: Beer for bulking. Yeah beer has the power of putting a gut on a individual. I would go with milk.

that reminds me of a story…working out in the Gold’s Gym years ago on a saturday morning. Enormous sumbitch walked in, visibly drunk or pill’d up.
I mean this guy was huge…used to shoot up test in the locker room at Gold’s. Just big, puffy and strong as an ox. At any rate, he shows up all fired up, raising hell wanting to workout…I think he might have had an impromptu bet going with another dude that was with him??
Sort of “I can squat more than you can” kind of thing.
So he loads up the bar with what must’ve been 400+ lbs to do some squats. Unracks, steps backward and just falls over backward, crashing the whole thing down behind him.
the bad part was the bar bounced back and hit him in the head…opened up a nasty gash
lucky he didn’t do any damage to anyone/anything around him
