'Beach Day' Diuretics

I have seen plans for photo shoot type stuff like “Shredded in 6 Days”, but I was wondering if there’s a more basic method of simple water intake manipulation and OTC diuretics like Taraxatone that one can use for “beach days” or any event where some temporary subcutaneous water removal might be needed?

Thanks for any help.

If you arent lean enough this wont matter. Are you really lean?

A “more basic” method? The outline Christian wrote about is pretty much as simple as you can get. If you’re gonna start popping pills hoping to get magical results, I doubt you’ll find much sympathy on here when you fall a bit short of what you’re expecting (of course other supplement companies would love your attitude!)

I think working towards better overall body composition would be a lot smarter than simply using water removal techniques for “beach days”, that just seems a little ridiculous to me.

Once you’ve reached a better BF%, than you can just do small things like avoiding high amounts of sodium around your “beach days”.

This is actually not a “beach day” for me, but I see that type of example used alot; just an occasion that I would like to look a little better that usual. I have worked my way down to about 8% (estimate using a 3-point caliper measurement)over the last 3 months. I just tend to hold a little water, so I unfortunately need to be pretty dry to look impressive. Don’t get me wrong, I think i’m pretty lean though.

Anyway, I was just looking to utilize an OTC diuretic and manipulate water a little bit. Not thinking I am going to magically “look” 6% in 5 days. I am happy with ~8%. Just wanted it to look a little better for an afternoon.

Taking Diuretics simply for recreational purposes is a bad idea.

If your already down around 8%, I think cutting sodium and avoiding foods that could cause you to bloat (broccoli, cauliflower, other uber high fiber foods) would be sufficient. If your still worried that much about definition, I think working on your tan would be better than diuretics, but personally I would never use either of those.

Day before minimal water no salt. Night before straight Jack Daniel’s. If you’re alive in the morning you’ll be dry as fuck. Kidding but seriously.

If this isn’t for a photo shoot, what event could there possibly be where 8% isn’t lean enough outside of competition?

This is what I was getting at in my previous post. Do you not feel comfortable walking around with your shirt off after being on this site for almost 6 years?

I do feel fine with my condition. I just like to tinker with this type of stuff when an occasion arises where I can set a small goal. I appreciate the input. Seems like these OTC’s aren’t looked upon too favorably. Anyone ever use Dandelion?

I have. And horsetail simultaenously. They work. But it lead to some minor cramping. The discomfort wasnt worth the effort.

A guy i knew used to play around with ‘day’ diuretics. if he wanted to look watercut, he would take otc waterpills, durex. and eventually those werent enough. he took a lasix and went to the beach with some buddys, left in an ambulance.

Thres a big difference between using herbal diuretic you can buy at GNC and pharmaceutical grade diuretics. Just sayin…

Taking a diuretic and spending a day in the sun and in salt water isnt the greatest idea anyones ever had.

You’ll impress many a girl or queer by just being around 8% so why worry about water? Just being lean as hell should be good enough, unless you don’t have any muscle or something.

Uph…we might be onto something here.

If your trying to use diuretics/sodium or whatever the hell your doing for a simple beach day…your doing it for the wrong reasons. It’s temporary at best.

Ur right. No muscle and I had nothing better to do than “make up” a BF % and inquire about herbal diuretics. Good times.

Yes i was just saying this guy just kept pushing the whole diuretic thing, i take dlion quite frequently

I have an idea, let’s dehydrate ourselves with pills and lack of fluids. Then go out into the heat, run around the beach and get all sweaty. Lets have a few beers while we’re at it… Sound like fun:)
