You might try 1 to 4 grams of Taurine. I have never tried it. (I have a ways to go before it would do me any good) I got this out of Dr. Adkins VITA-NUTRIENT SOLUTION book.

If your already down around 8%, I think cutting sodium and avoiding foods that could cause you to bloat (broccoli, cauliflower, other uber high fiber foods) would be sufficient. If your still worried that much about definition, I think working on your tan would be better than diuretics, but personally I would never use either of those.[/quote]
Sorry to hijack the thread, but could you please expand upon the statement of bloat arrising from the ingestion of broccoli, cauliflower and other high fiber foods? It’s just a statement that I haven’t come across before.
Yea, I was wondering about that also.

Certain foods (veggies!) talk up considerable space in your digestive system. While they are very helpful during a strict diet in keeping you full and ‘regular’ to some degree, they don’t always go through quickly. When I’m preparing for a contest, I stop ingesting green veggies (and cauliflower) and sodium containing condiments several days before the show in an effort to reduce intestinal bloat as well as water retention.

Thanks Stu! Now that you say it I remember the article from a few years back when Berardi went vegetarian, and said his waist size would vary something like 10 inches throughout the day from the massive fiber intake.
this sounds like something The Situation would post about…
