Battling Ropes the Day Before Bench

My gym just got some battling ropes, and I gave them a whirl this week. Pretty impressed with the immediate effects ie. nausea, head-spins, can’t recall name. Didn’t notice much in the way of soreness. I have a chance to use them again tonight, but I have a max effort bench session tomorrow so I’m a bit concerned.

Rather than asking “should I do this”, I’m going to give it a go and find out. But does anyone use them at all? And what have you found, in regard to your upper body training (soreness, fatigue, recovery)?
