I’m a 16 y/o Baseball Player. Currently I’m 5’10 and weigh 160. I need to stay quick but I need to build strength and lean muscle mass. I’ve read the article on the Quality Mass Diet and wonder if this program will work for me. Does anyone have any suggestions on a muscle mass diet plan that would be best for me?
Gaining weight and staying “quick” can easily be done. People gaining weight and becoming slower usually don’t keep their conditioning or gained fat and not muscle.
At 16, your best bet is to lift with a program that suits your goals (read up on some articles). As far as diet, eat a surplus of calories, keep it simple. I wouldn’t put a macro ratio on it, just make sure you’re eating carbs and protein at every meal and add in some healthy fats as well. Experiment and you’ll see what works best for you.
