I sometimes think that it’s not necessarily due to the lack of a father, because that blames something that isn’t there, but due to the mother, the one who is there. In other words, the kind of woman who has children not just out of wedlock but with a man who she isn’t even in a committed relationship with, is a woman who probably lacks the ability to be a good parent and has all of the qualities to be a horrible parent.

Wow! Your way more optimistic than me. 50 years? 2 generations? I certainly hope you are right and I am wrong, but I seriously doubt I am wrong. Every box you would check if you wanted war, is being checked right now. These things tend to happen slowly, then all at once very quickly. Pick your analogy. War is not a quick thing. It’s very rare that its a crime of passion. This country is torn in two, it cannot stand. Ukraine is getting more out of control, and shock of shocks, they are losing. What the hell it’s only money, right? And weapons systems, and personal. I constantly hear China’s increasing military posture on Taiwan. This country is coming unglued and we are in no position to fight a war. But this war won’t spare the homeland. We will get hit. How badly, who knows but our luck is running out and the oceans aren’t quite as big as they used to be.
I have been paying attention to a lot of war history. I look at the things that started those wars and the red flags are everywhere and we are doing everything in our power to make it worse, at this time.
Is it WW3? Who knows maybe that’s too arrogant to say. I heard a guy, don’t remember who he was but he made the following point. "I don’t know how world war 3 will be fought, but I know WW4 will be fought with sticks, stones and arrows.

That’s called a “wilding” and the children of the Windy City have been doing it for some time. It’s a tradition at this point. I have no doubt many of these children have parents who also took part in this type of thing.

As to WWIII, there’s a chance it might not be what many are expecting. When we think WWIII, we think nuclear war, wiping countries off the map, an extinction level event.
WWIII might be more/less a proxy war and/or cold war 2.0. Cutting off and diverting important resources various countries require for sustenance. Very few countries are self-sufficient. Trade, and foreign relations are a necessary evil.
China isn’t immune to this either. In the end the winner might wind up being “who is able to self sustain”. However, China has created a dynamic wherein they’ve ensured MOST of the first and a good portion of the third world is at the very least somewhat dependent on China.

If this were to eventuate, you’d potentially looking at a mass depression/famine occurring. Previously first world nations descend into third world territory. Not due to societal collapse or civil war eventuating between the increasingly far left vs the increasingly far right… But due to lack of food, fertiliser, means to upgrade or create infrastructure, shortages of medicine/base products required to synthesise medicine.

There are a lot of problems with the ‘woke paradigm’ the left has chosen to adhere to. The paradigm masquerades as a helping hand for the vulnerable, but it has little to do with helping adults who are genuinely in need of help, more to do with stoking grievances and alienating normies/middle class adults.
While I might not fit into the mould of the average normie (not by a long shot). I am TERRIFIED of the backlash that is going to eventuate. It irritates me, because the ‘left’ doesn’t even encapsulate the paradigm we see within the ‘left’ presented within the media, in (some) academic institutions etc.
The two most vocal voices appear to be the far left and the far right in America. And yes… BOTH of these dynamics represent tremendous threats. While radical leftism may be highly visible, vocal and irritating… very few actually identify with the trends and policies they push
Rather, they represent a vocal and oddly powerful minority within the United States (not nearly as powerful elsewhere, ditto for the growing far right) that drown out all dissent. Backlash is very much warranted, but middle grounds are rarely found.
A backlash against the very VOCAL far left minority could lead to the far right gaining traction (think alt right BS), which in turn would lead to the radicalisation of centrist individuals towards either opposing extreme. THAT could actually lead to a civil war of sorts. Either side winning in that instance would be awful. The best eventuating scenario if something this awful were to eventuate would be both sides massacring one another. From the ruins comes a new society… Or more likely… From the ruins, China/Russia takes over and everyone can be unhappy forever 
Or… unlikely but hopefully… provided this actually happens, which I doubt will occur within our lifetime… Europe could wind up taking over. Hurray! Healthcare for EVERYONE!

Let’s see they produce the worlds bulk (by far) of semiconductors. Some semiconductor technology is only made their. So if China were to take it over, they would have the west by the balls.
Will it be direct military intervention, I don’t know, but if China wants it bad enough military intervention will have to happen. The other consequence is that China holds our most precious hardware hostage, be there no war. They will know everything we know, technologically speaking. Right now, they have to spy, but they will just have it if they take Taiwan.
Here’s the good news. China built all those military fake islands all through out the South China Sea. They clearly are not counting on a nuclear exchange, because those are perfect targets for nukes. It’s all military and has no peaceful value. So we can nuke those things and sleep soundly afterwards.
I really don’t know what’s going to happen, but check out what caused all the last 4-5 major conflicts, look at the events that led up to them and compare with now. It’s actually pretty scary when you already know that some of the things we have pulled internationally, recently, were causes of wars in the past. How many more triggers do we have to trip over before it gets real, real quick. I think we are on a razor’s edge here. This is no joke.

Those who believe either extreme is the answer to America’s problems need to take a good look in the mirror and ask themselves “do you really want a war”?
During war… Pillaging, raping and mass casualties are the norm. War crimes, indiscriminate killing, prisoners of war, torture etc occurs.
I’m sure many who assimilate with extremes fantasise about this to an extent from time to time. I’m sure everyone has fantasised about hurting those they perceive to be the enemy. The more radicalised you are, the more likely you are to belligerently pick a side no matter the pitfalls present within your ‘side’.
There was an interesting study recently (a number of studies) that indicated those who believe in conspiracies (i.e i’m right, everyone else is delusional despite only my fringe, unaccredited sources backing my beliefs) tend to rank very highly re disordered personality traits… It is said those who fall victim to alt right and alt left ideology tend to be very disagreeable, opiniated. The archetype of the covert narcissist, or those who are normal yet harbour some disordered traits like selective empathy, interpersonal bias (cognitive bias), sense of entitlement, fundamental attributional error (underestimate situational/environmental factor for eventuating behaviour of an individual while overestimating dispositional variables), belief bias and overconfidence effect.

But what if you live in a society being dominated by extremes that facilitate the development of these disordered personality traits? Twenty to thirty years ago, only those predisposed fell prey to extremes. Current paradigm breeds extremism through invoking resentment and breeding alienation.
Both sides share a lot of psychological overlap. In the past, most who assimilated with extreme tended to have disordered upbringings, conducive environmental archetypes for the development of covert narcissism, selective empathy, intergroup bias, selective dehumanisation. That is why many within the far right and far left tend to be violent, report abnormal or traumatic upbringings (also genetic influence too), many jump through hoops to justify amoral, disturbing or violent behaviour in order to accomplish a specific goal i.e ends justify the means. You tend to find there’s actually a lot of overlap between the ALT/far left, the ALT/far right and religious fanaticism/radicalism, particularly radical islam. Despite all three sides generally hating one another. It’s hysterical considering how much overlap there is. Despite common stereotypes, those who reside on political and / or religious extremes aren’t always stupid. Many are well educated, intelligent individuals… Some are sociopathic juveniles looking to fuck shit up and justify doing so.
What bothers me the most about either extreme is the way adherents belligerently stick to whatever it is that they’ve learnt. They will refuse to seriously analyse any/all data that doesn’t fit their narrative, nor will they ever attempt to seriously reanalyse what they’ve learnt. Now I say “data”… Conspiracy theories, gender ideologues, biological negationism, historical negationism and communist, Marxist or fascist propaganda doesn’t meet the criteria to be considered “data”.
Data = facts and statistics. If you are retconning history (be it communism, fascism, Marxism), if you are perpetuating CRT, radical gender ideology, theories disproven through tried-and-true scientific methodology or selectively nit-picking at data and discarding everything you don’t agree with… that’s not data anymore.
Modern/western socio-political extremism almost always =/= bullshit. It’s odd… Because the past has also been conducive towards highly disordered beliefs with regards to race, religion, class etc (you do not want an intrinsically class/hierarchy-based society. India is a representation of this, and Indian society is highly conducive towards selective dehumanisation/disordered beliefs).
All societies have their problems… However If you compare like… the 70s-80s-90s-2000s to the late 2010s onwards… It appears we have, in rapid succession, induced a dynamic conducive towards mass radicalism, disordered beliefs. Society is shooting itself in the foot… Why are we TRYING to breed more resentment and alienation? Go back to 1990s status quo.

You have the left wanting to give all the leaches everything at the expense of the producers and wanting to disarm the populace (which should scare anyone).
The right has its problems too, but between the two - the left is far worse in my book.

The US and Europe existed prior to their reliance on China for manufacturing and can exist again without it. We might be better off.
