I was a bit confused by some of the opinions on the subject. Who in the US are left and who are right. In my opinion, the Democrats should be on the right and the Republicans on the left.
If you were to look at Left to Right as 0-100, I’d say Democrats tend to be about 10-50 and Republicans tend to be about 30 or 40-90.
So, we would rather refer to the Democrats as the left in the USA. Interesting indeed, as the Democrats are more likely to pursue right-wing policies than left-wing ones. The right should mean less government intervention, more business freedom and lower taxes. Left politics is the opposite - more government control, more aid for the poor, higher progressive taxes for the rich. Basically, being a democrat means being right-wing.
But these are just names, and everyone leads a policy that may not be characteristic of understandings of left and right approaches in politics.
This is what it tends to mean. Republicans tend to favor those things…at least to a greater extent than Democrats(see that I start the Republicans at 30 and not 51).
That’s what I am saying too. These things should be favored more by Democrats because, in theory, Democratic parties should generally govern with a right-wing approach. But it doesn’t matter what the name of the party is, what matters is that people are satisfied and happy.

I understand and agree. It made more(not perfect) sense a century-and-a-half ago, I think(but I’m not sure how or if the parties identified by Wing at that time).

This is extremely off topic but what was your approach to gaining size and cutting. Did you count calories,macros, or wing it?
Let’s compare maybe a natural bodybuilder to someone who trains for strength/size in general. Does a bodybuilder emphasize technique or how they’re moving weight to get a certain stimulus or does that not matter?

When I got shredded for my one and only show, everything was counted for 5.5 months.
The rest of the time I practiced portion control to gain or lose, though I did go through an overeating permabulker phase in the mid-to-late aughts.
I don’t think this has to be stressed all the time for all muscle groups. But I do think for poorly resounding muscle groups that exercise selection and exercise order is very important. Pre-exhaust brought up my lats and pecs. Dumbbell bench press, dips, and Hammer Strength chest press did more for my chest than flat bench presses. But for my quads and arms I didn’t have to think about what I did much. Even when I got ready for the show all I did was 4 sets of lunges and 4 sets of squats.
There are gifted men who I think can just heave weight around, do whatever exercises, and be fine.
I likely will never do BB split routines again. As I’ve written elsewhere I now do full-body circuit training and jog on other days. When people ask me how I work out now, I say I’m a middle-aged circuit trainer. You can spot these guys in the gym, hopping all over the place like they have to leave soon, in and out in less than an hour, usually at the crack of dawn or right after work, never doing any pulverizing barbell exercises. That’s me.

Two reasons, self preservation and money. Do you want to live where people take dumps in the street, where people have to roll down their windows and leave their trunks open not to get their windows broken, hell, just living in fear of violence, or do you not want to live that way.
Money, they are moving to where things are cheaper, where their money goes much further.
I’d much rather they stay put, because they bring their problems with them.
There is a definition of civil war I’m sure millions of Americans know.
Some people have theorized how such a war would play out, including the author of this book which I read long ago.
