Last Monday I was attempting a 5RM and failed on the fifth rep. The spotter bars were not high enough and I ended up rounding my back at the bottom before my spotter pulled it off my back.
I actually felt fine, beyond some wounded pride. But the next day I had a pain in my spine just above my tail bone. Its not been a week and improved a little, but not much.
Any advice or should I just go see a professional?
Sounds like right where you hurt could benefit from some band tractioning. Search on youtube for dick hertzel, the jumpstretch band inventor, and watch his video on back traction.
I fractured my L3 a couple years ago and that guys videos are a huge reason why I am still lifting now. Foam rolling and heat/ice contrasts were huge to my recovery as well. High rep band good mornings are good too but only after you can do them pain free.
