Hi,
This is a SOS. I started strong lifts in 2009 without a power rack and ended up injuring my low back. Later I came to know about starting strength so bought a power rack in December last year and started SS workouts in March this year. I knew about reverse hypers so made a homemade sturdy reverse hyper. Just two weeks ago I was easily squatting more weight that got injured with ( 97.5 kgs) and for some reason I felt low back pain some hours post workout at the same place(same type of pain, same spot).
The pain just happened post workout and the only thing I did different was that I started doing lying leg raises as well, for just a week. Now I am concerned what caused it again. I do reverse hypers with 20kgs. Could it just be the leg raises or reverse hypers. I have heard that leg raises put pressure on the back.
I have not done any workouts since a week now.
Any insights would be really helpful.
Thanks.
