Back at it, Sort of

Is 385 a max attempt? Just throwing it out there but you could do less reps as a precursor. Then you can thrash yourself with lighter reps until you puke if you please. Might help you dunk that 385 or higher.

385 isn’t a max attempt really. It might be a max after that much weight. Coming back from injury I’m trying to work the low end so to speak and once I feel a lttle bit more comfortable I’ll be droping down to five and three’s laddering.

OK, gotta ask…is there a story behind spotter issue?

Kill the spotter. Unless they’re kin.

That was my first thought but I have so few people who even can spot me that I really can’t afford to lose one.

You’ll like training with the SlingShot. Make sure you get the right size. Call the company if you have any questions like I did. Sorry to hear about the spotter. The right hand-off, them understanding your request to touch or not touch the bar, them standing to close can all throw a bench off.

Why don’t you lift in a power rack, get a lift off then tell them to f*** the hell off?

No way they can mess up your lift and if you fail you won’t end up a statistic.

Can’t believe you’re attempting 320 now, you’ve come a long way.

We don’t have power racks, the best we have a crappy Hammer Strength rack type apparatus.

Hey Joe! Not sure what your injury was but your bench numbers have moved up significantly, since I last checked in. Great work!
Squats and deads are looking good as well.

I had a pinched nerve in my back that would not get squared away for the longest time.

Got ambitious on the 395 and had to bail. Still a pretty good squat day.

I think I’m going to drop some of those warm sets and see how that feels next time. Its almost time to get squat and bench back on 5/3/1.

Great job on building up your bench… Looking stout all around!

Yeah, Joe. Your bench numbers have definitely gone up since I was last hanging around. Nice progress.

Thanks guys, just trying to hold my own around here.
