Baby Got Back.

Thanks Mash!! I feel like there is way more to come, but time will tell.

Missing some of the Oly stuff, but even just the practice (it all feels like practice) is so time consuming. Plus its so addicting, I found myself saying one more time *over and over. I may bring some back in the spring.

OK, Im officially over football, well for today anyway. Some serious Badger fans here!!

I hit abs today, nothing major, just 15 minutes after a little warm up. Hadnt been doing the roll-outs, felt rusty.

Im sooo ready to hit legs tomorrow. For some reason i feel recharged like i took some time off, i guess
the sorta deload did my body good. Its defintely the volume that blasts me.

GOOD LAWD!!! I’ll leave it at that.

Excellent work on the squats, form is great and that grinder was awesome!!! Pretty sure soon you’ll be smashing 155.

Not exactly the day I planned. It all started when the heat went out, figures coldest day of the damn year so far, got down to around 9. Brr was tuff to sleep. Got someone to come fairly early, but I was tired and cold.

Once i warmed up (literally)

SUMO DL 95/5 115/5 135/5 150/1 vid 165/3 vid 185/3 vid 165/3

CONV DL 135/5 155/2x5

no gym so no leg press

walking lunges vest plus 20s ----> grip was cranky

RDL 95/8 115/8 115/7 grip was giving me the finger

BSS not that low today, but respectable 25s 2x8

banded leg ext 12 reps/3 sets and leg curls 2x12 1x10

On SUMO need to bring the hips into play more, not used to the wide leg movement. My balance was better, maybe could pull back on heels more?

Thats it. Im kinda babying that pull spot I guess its not the tie in, as it seems lower and more inner thighish. any stretches or advice is welcome. Doesnt seem to be getting any worse, so thats good!

I have been icing after a good stretch, gm style and runners lunge and then some squat type pushing out my knees.

Wow Up sumo’s are really coming along! Great work today…that looked really light! Awesome job!

Up, found that Defranco’s Agile 8 was great for the hips, I don’t do everyone but do some good dynamic stretching prior to training squats and pulls, and sometimes even prior to benching.

Lil I checked that out, yea good stuff, will help me get the hips in there. Im really just not used to the movement either.

Yesterday hit abs, I get lazy on training them :0

did ABRX its about 15 minutes I feel my core today, so did the job.
Ill try to get a list of moves if anyone wants them. Im going to “try” to hit abs directly again at least 2 times every 8-10 days, Im usually sore for 2-4 days depending on how much i trash them, so every other day
is just not necessary.

Bench felt good, not sure im totally recovered from max benching (sad but true) but wasnt bad at all. getting the 3 strong sets with 90 felt awesome, and i was doing them slow and controlled.

Looks like its time to start thinking about a meet or a show.
