Awesome on the bench PR! I’ve never been a bencher (MAJOR UNDERSTATEMENT), but the most I ever did with a pause was 100 lb. You have the potential to do far more than that 103.

well the 145…the first i didnt hit depth, and i stood there contemplating going down again, but didnt.
the 2nd i was sure if i hit parallel, went for a 3rd, didnt rest much, and almost got stuck but i hung with it, felt like time stopped.
I was suggested a weight next, but didnt listen, I was feeling so confident Id get the 155 at depth ![]()
but i failed, then i was thinking ?? did i even get a PR with that 145? do it again to be sure. NOT lol
I used the band to git my knees, so i had a little more going on in my head, but Im thinking the 145 counted?
as long as you dont go back down? anyway, I think I got a PR+10 IF i hit depth.
I felt so strong and wanted it so bad. I guess I should feel good knowing im hitting lower and knees were better. That bigger squat is gonna be mine!

I would say your first was good but borderline depth. The good news is your form is perfect. Maybe sit back a little more and pull our elbows forwarrd to keep your chest high but that is really nit picking. I really liked you 3rd attempt those grinders are my the best!

Don’t sweat your form on the squats (it is solid)…the higher weights are messing with your head. YOU WILL hit that 155 for depth sooner than you think!
Take a step backwards with lighter weight so you can take two steps forward. I’m sure whoever is doing your programming will guide you this way. Lastly, when you approach the bar don’t think of it as 155lbs, think of it as just 10 lbs more than you just did or just two 5lb plates. Sounds funny but it works for me.

ON form: I didnt think i would “fix” it in one sesh. I wasnt squatting for depth to begin with.
Id say ill have it in the next few though.
As far as weight, not meant to sound cocky… but the weight amount Does NOT MESS with me.
I wouldnt have thought i could handle another 10 ![]()
I just need my fearlessness to equal my strength and tech.

I agree, on getting that 155, however I dont go for PRs that often, so Ill be grinding out
some lower weight again, which will let me dial in my depth.

From USAPL competition standards, you need another inch. Some feds are more lax. So close and you handle the weight with such ease that it’s just a matter of time. And 155 is my best ever raw squat! I am so impressed with how long you stayed with that one squat. Incredible perseverance. Really fun to watch how far you’ve come so damn fast.
