TRAINING HOME

RECAP lst 225PR was sept of last year. I havent pulled even 165 off floor since June~~~ That back spasm really wrecked me, mentally as well as physically, maybe more mentally. I pulled 185/5 back in Feb. so its been awhile. It shows, have to go down and work on my tech. This got away from me and i had to muscle it back in.
Im really,REALLY excited to get my DL GROOVE back.

warm up

FRONT SQUATS
45/5
65/5
80/5 paused
90/3x5 paused ~~~was supposed to be 90 paused 3-5 reps.

DL was just going to see how it felt at 135 and play it by ear maybe going up to 165 today, but…

115/5
135/5
155/5
165/3 feels good im going up
175/5
185/1/2 the weight got to me, then i forgot about it.
205/1
225/1 matched pr
235/1 +10 PR ugly but im taking it!

BSS
20 1x10e

HIP THRUSTS
95 3x15

The pause squats at 90 today felt so super strong, stayed so tight and the depth was so good, my glutes were burning!!

DL VID

Personal story if you want to skip…

SO my dad got Pancreatic Cancer, I mentioned it some time back. He ended up having a “whipple” procedure to take out the tumor after they shrunk it(was on a nerve). Fast forward he has been in a study group for a Pancreatic Cancer Vaccine. What the vaccine is supposed to do, is IF another tumor starts in pancreas or anywhere in body it attacks the cancer cells and keeps you healthy.

He had a scan on his pancreas a couple weeks ago and there was no signs of cancer. He just had a full body scan and got the results today, they say he is cancer free. He is still in the test group for another year, i think.

I had just got this news after pulling the 235, i literally broke down and balled, the adrenalin and news did me in!

Never lose hope!

That’s great news!

Incredible positive way to cap off nice deads. I’ve had so many family members die of different forms of cancer. Hope your dad remains cancer free and that vaccine is the help so many people need.

That is THE most wonderful news! SO happy for your family
And your deads are pretty kick ass too!

That made me happy. Dad’s and daughters have a special bond.

As a deadlift afficionado I am pleased with your work. How many other woman pull that much? I myself am going for a post hamstring strain personal best on Sunday, the goal is 3 X 3 at 375lbs.

It seems the Scorpions whipped some vinegar out of you.

Consul Thanks for stopping in, thanks.

GV Ill tiddy up my deads, now that i have my confidence back. Yea, we were really praying he would make into the test group. Im sure he will enjoy however much time he has, he has been so positive through it all.

CGal Thanks on daddy!! I have to admit it felt real good to pull DLs again, now to get it dialed in.

Git Ive always been close with my dad you would be correct. Thanks for the shout out

DKong well good luck to you. When i did that to my back, it was a very light set. I wasnt rolling my hips or hams, and that day i rushed my warm up, bad girl. I learned my lesson.
Scorpions was my GFs favorite band, brings back a lot of memories.

Very pleased for you on the news about your dad and the DL PR.

DL PR! Wow. That’s huge! 235! You’ve passed me up in everything!

Fantastic news regarding your dad! Congrats on the PR, it flew off the floor, you seem to have the ability to have your lower back stay tight yet your upper back and shoulders stay loose which is something I cannot for the life of me do.

Yes, great news on dad.

Im not sure if G was smokin rope or not, but he says if I can get my groove going, I can pull more. He could be trying to not let me get hung up on numbers, so ill think 200+ for say 5 reps isnt a big deal… I swear I was thinking 165/5 was going to be it, 175 if that felt great would be my top set, and I was thrilled with those numbers. You can imagine how I felt getting the 235 off the floor!

I feel like my strength has bumped up again. Dont think the anaconda/mag can work this fast, but i really do like it. The “smoothness” I feel when training, is obvious. Not sure how else to describe it. The big anaconda belly not so much, ha! Guess its cute.
