Baby Got Back.

well would you believe that i only just found you! knew you had a new log somewhere but couldn’t bloody find it!!

ooh i never thought about how using a belt would mess up rolling the bar down… i would have panicked a bit, too. guess that is a really good reason not to put collars on the bar.

OWWW on rolling the bar down…that crushes you! Yeah did it once too. …
Also Hi!

YIKES! how did i miss the bench mishap. I’m glad you’re ok. Keep your phone close next time and call me. You can wait a couple hours to get released, right?!

BTW I just saw your text from last week. We’ve got lots of catching up to do.

Hope all is well over there!

I was regretting the chugging of water when the bar had to go back the other way :open_mouth:
Thats ok, you are busy tearing it up, I think i forgot to mention, the pull ups, brains mush!

OK, Im thinking things have settled down a bit. I have heard others talk about feeling so soft when they get out routine, and i am feeling that. No pump AT ALL, makes my jeans all loose, was kinda nice not having to be a contortionist.

G has been trying to get me to get back to some jumps between sets etc, Im feeling the pain already. My conditioning was just starting to get in a groove. Oh well, must look forward not look back!

I start a new job in a few weeks, and the PL gym will actually be pretty close, so theres a win!

Ill be back to post my training, dont get excited, wont be earth shattering…yet!

Glad you’ll be sticking around. For sure.

Thanks Snap!

Training today

warm up lots of glute activation stuff. Agile 8 etc.

conv deads

95x8
115x8
135x8
155 3x8 (looking back at vids was actually 7,8,9) back had a little rounding on a few reps, but not at all horrible.

sumo 115x12
135 2x14 felt so easy, smooth, hips came in nice, was really happy with these.

Hip thrusts, light, 95 3x12 with a nice squeeze at top, very controlled.

Straight leg deads
95/8
115/2x8

front squats nothing crazy, felt strong.

ab rollouts knees 2x8, hanging leg raise (knees bent), rev curl legs up, slow, trying to hold at top position.
mason twists #10 2x30 (back and forth 1 rep)

Felt like I was gonna puke a couple times right after deads, must remember to breathe…

Sounds like your gym has the same setup as mine. Every time I do heavy deads or squats, they start pumping oxygen out of the room.

…Well, I was at home. It was more likely the short rest time between sets.

Thats a ton of DL reps, I would feel like puking too!

At home? Well, you really have to watch those central air conditioning systems, they’ll turn on you.

Thanks for stopping by, love your avi!

My winter “maintain mode” was a success. Im happy that I held my own, but now Im ready to
take it up another notch.

CORE will consistently get challenged, suck it UP. Dont let me slack on this!!!

TRAINING TODAY was an hour 4 min trail ride. It was the most beautiful day, mid 70s and clear blue sky. My goal was to go up the steepest hill at least 3 times up, staying in my seat. It wasnt so bad, but they were doing some sort of burn the ground thing, and the smoke was at the top of the hill, so lungs were burning from smoke, legs from the ride.
I got a little mixed up in the trails, so it was a little longer than I was thinking.
I hit the last incline trail about 58 minutes in, my legs were burning and i was outa my seat the whole way up. Flippin LOVED IT!

Got off my bike and legs felt beastly, if only they looked as pumped as they felt.

No wonder you felt dizzy. If I counted right you did right at one hundred reps of deads. If I tried that it wouldn’t be a matter of remembering to breathe- I wouldn’t have enough air in me left to breathe. Excellent Work!!

Thank you. He’s 2 months old today. VERY attached to mommy, oh well. Strong training Up. Your doing your thing.

Just checking in. Howdy.

DB yea, was a lot of reps, i guess, but the weight was lightish. I still felt a bit nautious today, something had my tummy bubbly.

Viper ahhh 3 months, hopefully sleeping like a “baby” all night.

Dday YUP, check, gotcha you.

Training Today - felt like something to wake up my upper body, either that or g was trying to show me just how old I really am.

So it went like this:
warm up the letter moves with the 3s, push ups, downward dog etc.

First round
bench 75,75,70x3 (wasnt sure on weight, should have started with 70 so it didnt take time off the clock)
then 10# med ball throw against wall 12 throws
10 minutes 5 rounds

2nd round
rows 25#dbs, simultaneously 8 reps —>last 2 rounds used some body english and french!
shoulder press 15s 8 reps
10 min 7 rounds

3rd
delt triad 8# 5 reps each press,front,side
10mins 8 rounds

4th
ghetto row 48,45 1/2, 40 1/2, 38,38 8 reps i had to drop set to keep form, couldnt believe how heavy the 38 felt to end.
alt with 10# db curl 8 reps
10 mins 6 rounds

very very humbling

oh, and then did abs with my daughter, still not able to finish the circuit with her.

So I held my own like I said this winter, see some loss in delts and a lil here and there, but Im with my starting point. The delts were murder to grow, so Ill have to pay attention to them.

Heres a couple pics.

and…

Sigh…

You look fantastic, Up!

The way you attack the training, I’m sure you will be where you want to be by spring!

With Masch gone, I’ve been wondering who’s abs I was going to lick nutella off of.

Yep, I found my answer!!!

You look smoking!! Seriously, lean but still curvy and strong. Love it!!
