Don’t even bring your cell phone out of the locker room, leave it in your bag or locker. For every second wasted chatting about bullshit on the phone, your missing reps
Wearing UnderArmor clothing is pathetic. Nobody is impressed with your new age spandex. The gym isn’t a fashion show. Wear clean, comfortable clothes. Also, if you wear UnderArmor hats, you are a douche.
Don’t go to the gym with more than one friend. A group of 3 means you will be watching your friends lift weights more than you, yourself, will be lifting weights. Make a few connections at the gym, offer to spot for somebody, so when you need a spot they’ll return the favor.
The moment you realize that your lower body accounts for half your body, you will turn a major corner in bodybuilding. I think the most avoided exercise in the gm is the barbell squat. Avoid the Smith machine. Man up.
Please dont be a jumprope whore in the middle of the gym. Go to a corner or a less utilized portion of the gym.
Unless there is a boxing ring in your gym, please don’t shadow box yourself in the mirror. This is a sad sight.
1 and 2 are gay. I work in the financial sector in a trading environment, I can hardly go somewhere without being connected. Sure, I don’t sit there chattin’ it up, but bet your ass it’s gonna be with me.
And not wearing something intentionally out of spite is just as gay as wearing something just because you think it’s popular. I’ve got some underarmour gear, it’s dry-fit and nice stuff, why wouldn’t I wear it?
Don’t worry if someone else is using a smith machine, wearing Under Armor, shadow boxing, training with a group, or on the phone… mind your business and concentrate on your goals.
UnderArmour gear is glorified spandex. I dont avoid Underarmour gear out of spite, I avoid it because I’m a grown man. Wearing spandex thats marketed as performance enhancing clothes is stupid. If you wanna hang with the UnderAmour crowd, go to your local high school locker room.
wear underarmour if YOU can wear underarmour. you know what I mean…
Theres a thread just like this one, but to add to it:
Don’t waste space and do curls in the squat rack; assholes.

What’s wrong with Under Armor? I love their t-shirts. I would much rather have my sweat wick away than soak into my shirt and have a sopping wet, stretched out shirt at the end of my workout. Now, I’m not talking about the spandex stuff. I’m talking about the loose fitting short sleeve T-shirts that look like a regular cotton T-shirt. That spandex shit - unless worn while playing an actual sport - is more gay than not.
Nothing wrong with UA stuff and in fact there’s some science behind performance increases with compression fabrics.
Sure it’s a status symbol for some and there’s always someone who will knock something just because everyone is wearing it, but your comment that it does nothing is misguided.
If you are done your set, GET YOUR LAZY ASS OFF THE DAMNED MACHINE! If you wanna lie down for 90% of your session, go do it on the matts so all the bosu balance guys can stand on your gut and do their “core” curls.

I have a few underarmor things, they were on sale and next year you HAVE to be in spandex or a singlet for all the lifts at my meets. Plus with compression slothes on it makes sliding gear on easier.

Check out the ‘grown man’ who avoids entire clothing lines because it’s too popular telling me to go hang out in a high school crowd. Doesn’t get much more high school than that, pal!
Cling to the argument that all UA makes is spandex, that’ll hold up. You’ve got a better chance of menstruating than of winning that debate.
Yea, nothing wrong with under armour. I love their shit. It’s not all spandex, actually most of it isn’t. I like the Tech T’s, their loose and feel like cotton but last forever.
I like wearing underarmour compression shorts under my gym shorts. I do a lot of HIIT, and I don’t like my junk bangin’ around around. Plus, when my shorts slide up, my white legs won’t blind the crowd
