Attachable Knurling?

I lift at the YMCA so they dont have anything powerlifting oriented and they wont buy a 300$ bar when they can get one for 40$ at wallmart. So I was wondering… Has anyone seen any attachable knurling that you can add to bars?

When ever I squat the bar rolls a couple inches down my back and I cant rack the weight and its starting to mess with my progress.

So haveing good knurling in the middle would make a big difference.

Any help would be great.

It’s not knurling, but the Manta Ray might help. I have not used it, and it’s had mixed reviews on here before.

Someone pointed out in there that relative size between shoulders and traps may affect this as well.

You might also look at Tate’s squatting articles and see what you can take away regarding shoulders.

Find a new gym or bring your own bar

Im a low bar squater and I squat for powerlifting so mantaray isnt realy a option.

Also it cuts into me even if Im only useing 225.

grow some more deltoid/trapezius mass. or is your skin sensitive?

Well I can power shrug 610 for 7 reps so I dont think it has much to do with small traps but then again you wouldnt know that by looking at them.

As far as sensative skin I usualy get bruises on my back after heavy squats so that could be it.

I can easily do high bar squats without it roleing so the mantaray would just be a useless middle man.

…But this is all sort of besides the point…

The problem is only when I do low bar squats amd its due to shit knurling.
