Athletic Pendlum

Is this artical (athltic pendlum) ment for sports like basketball football hockey and such? And could it be used for strongman? But instead use a complete week for strongman events, and then start the program over?

Dude CT?s athletic pendulum can be made to fit any sport it is really a versatile program. I use a variation of the program with some of my athletes, they have had great success with it.

Boss - Do you use the pendulum training while in-season or stick to a low volume strength training?

pauln78 my athletes use the in-season plan below:

Day 1: strength/ hypertrophy/ SPP
Day 2: speed-strength, strength-speed (depending on the sport)/ sprinting
Day 3: strength/ hypertrophy/ SPP

My in-season training program is geared for maintenance, restoration, and SPP. I don?t use a pendulum per say, But I do use a form of the conjugate system. Work on keeping your body in balance during the in-season.

I use the pendulum system with my intermediate and beginning athletes during the off-season. The pendulum system can be made to fit the in-season of most sports, because of it?s versatility.
