Arnold Classic 2014

Aint too far away and the FB page released the list of competitors today:

Evan Centopani
Brandon Curry
Toney Freeman
Cedric MacMillan
Victor Martinez
Edward Nunn
Ben Pakulski
Shawn Rhoden
Fred Smalls
Branch Warren
Roelly Winklaar
Dennis Wolf
Hidetada Yamagish

[b]SHOULD[b] be Wolfs to take but i’d be equally happy if Pakulski got the win.

Quickly off the top of my head…

-Evan seems to get better every year, and his last Arnold outing was pretty impresive

-Victor looked to be about 90% of his old self at last year’s Spring outing (the NYP I believe). Possibly better this Spring?

-Roelly just impressed the hell out of me at this past Olympia. If anyone can really tie everything together out of the names listed, I think he has the most potential to just come out of nowhere (people seem to overlook him IMO)

-Rhoden has been top 4 at the last 2 Olympias, with a nice string of wins before that. If we go simply by pro record, it’s his to take,

I would love to see Wolf, Rhoden, B-Pak, and Roelly in a pose down for the top 4 spots. Wolf, Rhoden, and Roelly are the top three guys coming out of the Olympia (with Phil, Kai, Dexter, and Jay not competing).

I am also interested to see if Cedric comes half-assed like usual. He is a guy that I cannot wait to get his shit together and come in really tight and conditioned. It will be interesting to see if Evan can place in front of him.

For Ced I’ve gotten the impression that he does what he sees as ideal rather than what judges see. Not so much that he does what he does because he’s lazy or misses his target.

Everyone seems to think there are times where it seems like he is just not fully dedicated or comes in off.

With that being said I really like his physique and I thought he looked great at the Olympia. You just never know what you are getting with him.

From a PLing stand point I’m always rooting for Evan, he’s the new Branch I guess in that regard, the guy us Pler’s root for, but from a closet BBing fan I’d like to see Curry do somthing with that shape, and beauty ( lack of a better word) Didn’t he win one of the Arnold’s last year, in Spain or brazil, I haven’t seen pic’s, mabey nobody else showed up, but if he could put it togeather. Other than that Vic’s story is always cool, and as far as Cedric, he’s still in the military I believe, this might have somthing to do with conditioning, mabey i don’t know. Latter

I support The Big Bad Wolf for this one.

Always liked Evan Centopani. Hope he does well. I’ll be at the Arnold, although I doubt I’ll see the BB portion in person.

edit: also wanted a post directly adjacent to GrizzlyBerg to compare avi lol

^^Pretty close call, I need to see the side chest, and tri ^^

Wolf’s to lose.

Gotta stick with my man Roelly. Only thing with him though is that he is walking that thin line of being in shape and being too smooth. In the past, he seemed way too depleted but he was in shape as far as conditioning was concerned; too conditioned though. These latest outings, in comparison, Roelly looked full and big…but to me, he looked off in conditioning.

Wolf interestingly has similar issues (to my eye) with respect to the spectre of over conditioning to the point of being very flat and relatively “small” for him.

I think the 2014 Arnold will be very interesting.
