Are People Here Not Trying Very Hard?

I doubt the average person on this site even looks like they lift at all yet people tore this guy a new one all because he noticed the exact same thing everyone else does who comes here.

Guess what, the secret is out…most of you half ass this…and many of you just got schooled by a newb.

I hope he apologizes also. Just because I don’t have 18 inch arms the first 2 months of training means i’m not trying hard enough is absurd.

Yes I have been making progress. I started lifting February and didn’t really know what I was doing till June. I went from 12" arms to 15 1/4" my lifts went up a bit also.

Not saying i’m a beast or anything worth gloating over. aka not having pictures up. not everyone has the luxury at STARTING with 17’ guns, and strong lifts.
WTF? He was OBVIOUSLY not talking about people who just started lifting a few months ago.

How the hell are people jumping out of the woodwork on this like his comment was out of left field? It wasn’t.

Damn I wish I had your size to start out with. Only advice I can give seeing how you’re already far past me is when video taping… set the damn camera on a bench to the side so you don’t have to hold it with one hand or put it in your lap. Just get ready, set camera down, press record, walk away from camera towards machine, lift, walk back, end recording.

Not sure why it takes you 30 minutes to upload and don’t know what software you have but make sure whatever you got has a way to compress it for web streaming and that should greatly reduce the file size and upload time.

Look forward to seeing more, and hopefully better angled videos.

x2. Funny how Mytch is gettin’ upset but hes one of the people with no pics up. Good job with the pic of the hallway/doors, if you built it.
More than that, I am wondering how long people thought they could hide their lack of progress or significant result. They really want us to believe that most here look like some of the bigger posters here but they are all afraid to post pics even with their face blurred out?

The entire idea is ridiculous. Yes, guys, it is clear that most here are not looking like truly serious weight lifters after several years.

If that is your goal, fine, but let’s stop pretending. It’s not like acting that way is helping anyone get huge.

Yeah I guess your right. I over looked it.

And you know this how? Why do you so often pretend you know exactly how everyone on this site looks?
I don’t know how EVERYONE looks. I know how the people look who post pics. I also understand bodybuilders and I know that someone who truly stands out to that degree would not hide their progress because they stand out EVERYWHERE.

If you are well developed, why are you hiding it?

You seriously believe most of these people look like they are a long diet away from winning a decent local show in bodybuilding?

For people with no pictures of themselves anywhere to log on and try to destroy this guy because he noticed what EVERYONE ELSE notices is fucking stupid. Where are YOUR pics?
The only thing to notice is that not everyone posts a pic.

I agree all the name calling was stupid. He clearly does have good genetics. What ruffled my feathers was the accusation that we are all small AND “lazy as fuck”. How are you not supposed to be insulted if you have worked hard?

I haven’t bothered to post pics, maybe I will now. I just don’t get this assuming/cynical attitude that if you don’t post a pic, you must have something to hide.

…and guess what, that means something on a forum for BODYBUILDING.
Yet it went on for 5 fucking pages and was mostly coming from guys with ZERO pics in their profiles and one woman who looks more serious than most of the guys’ pics I’ve seen…as if she was what he was referring to.

I’m not insulted because my results are out there and no one looks like me by being “lazy as fuck”. Get it? If you got offended, it is likely because it is either true or you are ashamed of your own progress.

Why the hell would someone huge get offended by this? They KNOW they are huge.

Uh, once again, this is the bodybuilding forum. I am sick of little dweebs with no muscle giving advice here. SHOW US your level of training. Being a parrot of training articles is not needed.

This one poster just leaped over most of you because he showed he is strong…possibly stronger than just about everyone talking shit.

I just read through all six pages of this, and it seriously made me disappointed in the forums.

Hi OP, I apologise if I caused you any offence. I can’t load your latest vid, but from what folks have been saying, it seems legit. Congrats again on your gains!

OP good on you. i stated i didnt like your attitude at first, but you know what, youre head seems to be in the right place so keep on trucking and get huge man!

Well done OP, for 2 months that is some good lifting, keep it up .

My PC must be acting up because I can’t view any of the videos yet… any chance of them being uploaded on youtube?

Am14g08 - Very Impressive especially for only 2 months of training. Crazy natural strength quite similar to another poster “hulk”, 700lbs deadlift at only 18 years of age w overhand grip.

I don’t think anyone even wanted to see a flick of the arms, we don’t need to be punished with legs.

I guess it’s nice to have such a positive self image. But to be so naive… 18 inch arms don’t count when 5 of those inches flap back and forth when you wave.
Beyond hilarious!

Very good Job.

Once you settle into the groove, learn your mechanics for the lifts - Sky is the limit!

Eat hard, Lift hard. Right now you’re still on your new training gains. You will continue to skyrocket for a little bit.

Man I’m excited for this guy.

Time to pound 3 finibars and go trash some iron!

Stu was offended. Quite so - I really do agree that there are plenty of people here who show no progress - but if your statement holds true, then Stu is someone who should be ashamed of his progress - which is obviously ridiculous.

And his lifts are fine, but his shitty attitude and the way he came off like a total douche in his first post is not something I think he should get a free pass on - plus he doesn’t look like anything, and this IS a bodybuilding forum.

Also - who the fuck says he’s being honest about the time-frame? You guys question the shit out of everything under the sun, but right off the bat you totally believe this guy is being 100% straight about his lifting experience? That seems odd…

I see a newb with potential . I do not consider his original comment to be so damned intrusive as to warrant the response. The reaction was fucking over the top and ridiculous. Every jackass in the surrounding area jumped in just to get a punch in. I couldn’t care less how Stu responded because Stu ain’t me.

I want to see this guy make progress. I also am making it clear that he isn’t even that wrong in his statement because how many Stu’s are on this site?

The few people who do stand out are likely already in the T-cell.

We have some new guys here really making progress and they deserve the attention for it.

All of these people jumping in with no pics in their profile need to shut the fuck up so the rest of us can reach our goals.

This guy seems to be working for it now and I want to see him make progress over the next year.

What are YOU here for?
Professor X wrote:

To listen to you yell at me all the time apparently.

It’s awesome!

And I still think this guy came off like a dick - you didn’t, that’s fine. We’ll agree to disagree. : )

Ya i’d like to see that as well. Ain’t no way you’re hitting 15 pullups with that soft looking frame.
I call bullshit on this philosophy. Bill Gillespie can do a shitload of pull ups @300lbs bodyweight.

I agree with skynet over the OP’s time frame, he could be training for longer and just saying 2 months and now he has said it doesnt want to say he is actually trained longer as people will start calling him a liar etc but he proved with videos he is a strong lad, what do i know i am a noob to this site.

to the OP, GOOD JOB
you honestly have the potential to do insane things, just hope you do it in whatever you choose, be it bodybuilding, powerlifting, o lifting, strongman, or the crossfit games(please don’t do the last one lol)

try hard, because if you don’t try hard, it’ll be a mistake you’ll regret!!!
